Imperfectly natural mama: November 2014
http://imperfectlynaturalmama.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 26 November 2014. This Too Shall Pass. I felt so optimistic and positive about life. I felt I had so much to look forward to. Fast forward to four years later and my life couldn't be more different. This month my second child turned one, how did that even happen? I don't know where the time went! And I am starting to get all reflective with the year coming to an end (December approaching) and thinking about how the last year has been, by far, the hardest of my life. Because this too shall pass.

Friday, 19 September 2014. Fun Things to do With Toddlers - Play Dough Gardens. Got a pile of playdough going hard, crystalised and smelly in a tupperwear box somewhere? Fear not, you need not throw it out, you can give it a second life as a play dough garden. This was such a quick, fun and easy activity, great for enjoying the last of the warm weather. I pre arranged the paper plates with play dough squashed onto it, then showed Boris what I had in mind just by poking some of the plant off cuts into one.

I have added to the bunting in the collection with both more cotton bunting and some vintage paper bunting too. I will be continuing to add bunting as the weeks pass, I have some gorgeous new fabrics and I am even planning a few festive strings of bunting ready for Christmas. Here are some peeks at my new items:.

She is vegan too so the BBQ was 100% vegan and delicious. I am lucky enough to have two sisters, my other sister made this fab birthday bunting which was hung on some rocks. Some blankets spread out by the rocks set out our little area. Me with my other sister. What's a summer BBQ without Pimms? Me and my lovely mum,.

Monday, 18 August 2014. In the 1970's the founders of Greenpeace came up with the idea of using electronic media to communicate revolutionary ideas, they came up with the tactic "mindbomb" whereby they would use simple images, delivered by the media, that would "explode in people's minds" and create a new understanding of the world. If you would like to join in please share your "mindbomb" in a comment. Links to this post. Sunday, 10 August 2014. Fun Things to do With Toddlers - Corn Flour and Water.

Saturday, 28 February 2015. A mid week break to the beautiful Gower. Hi folks, so I went to visit my sister in the beautiful Gower on Monday because I wanted to keep her company for a few days while my mum and dad were on holiday and because it's just nice to get away from time to time, have a change of scenery and have some delicious vegan dinners cooked for me (yes my sister is giving veganism a go! How awesome is that! To all my wonderful Welsh family and friends. Links to this post. It's not necessar...

Saturday, 30 May 2015. The Lion King Week - Day 5. Back in the summer last year Boris was mad on The Lion King film so I thought it would be fun to do a Lion King themed week for him with lots of sensory activities and fun things to do. I didn't get round to posting about it at the time because it was a big project and I just never seemed to find the time to gather and edit all the photos. So today we used the bug mould. It was fascinating watching the colours mix on the ice and in the dish. At the end w...

Imperfectly natural mama: Book Review - The Life Changing Magic of Tidying up by Marie Kondo
http://imperfectlynaturalmama.blogspot.com/2015/08/book-review-life-changing-magic-of.html
Tuesday, 4 August 2015. Book Review - The Life Changing Magic of Tidying up by Marie Kondo. Both my husband and I are messy people. There I said it. I used to think it was mostly him, he would think it was mostly me, I would blame it on genetics, or being too busy or having a small house, but there was really no getting away from the fact that we are messy and and things were not getting any better. I have been through the first three categories, but stuck on the third because it is so vast. I keep r...

Imperfectly natural mama: Home pre-school - Foot prints in the sand painting
http://imperfectlynaturalmama.blogspot.com/2015/08/home-pre-school-foot-prints-in-sand.html
Sunday, 2 August 2015. Home pre-school - Foot prints in the sand painting. Our theme for the summer is The Seaside, we have had some lovely sunny days this year so I decided it would be fun to do some outdoors painting. In my mind I was thinking about footprints in the sand and making a way of capturing the footprints that are so fleeting on the beach. The paper was some packing paper than came with an Amazon order. Gotta love those little feet. And those even littler ones. Labels: activities for toddlers.

Wednesday, 17 December 2014. Fun Things to do With Toddlers - Candy Cane slime (Ooblek). Last time we played with corn flour and water. It was a big hit, so it was no surprise when this festive version went down a storm. Boris played with it for ages and was totally engaged, just feeling the mixture with his fingers and mixing up the colour. Links to this post. Labels: activities for toddlers.
