Gabe's Music View: October 2007
http://www.gabesmusicview.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 12, 2007. Melissa Etheridge - The Awakening. In the liner notes to her new album The Awakening Melissa Etheridge asks listeners to set aside an hour and play the CD straight through. This is sound advice. More than her previous albums the songs on this one flow together cohesively. She herself has called it a concept record. The subject matter is her life viewed through the prism of recovering from Cancer. Links to this post. Thursday, October 11, 2007. I didn’t spend too much time ...

Thursday, June 26, 2008. Pearl Jam - 6/25/08 - Madison Square Garden. Played the second of 2 sold out nights at the Garden. When they were asked to headline Bonnaroo they decided that since they’d have the engine revved up they might as well play a few dates before and after that festival. Bands with a large catalog like. Fan If there is I doubt they were at the Garden for this show. Core fan base is loud, loyal and energetic. These are the people. From the first note of Release. Not played in 10 years b...

http://www.gabesmusicview.com/2008/02/willie-nelson-moment-of-forever.html
Wednesday, February 6, 2008. Willie Nelson - Moment of Forever. That at almost 75 years of age, and close to 50 years after the release of his debut album, Willie Nelson still manages to release music is impressive. The fact that he can release an album as fresh and timeless sounding as Moment Of Forever in 2008 is astounding. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Enter your email address:. Gabe's Letters: March 2008
http://www.gabesletters.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 8, 2008. Flambeau Inc. 2. Before reading this second communication with Flambeau. The idea with this second letter was to get a little nuttier. This is the postcard I sent. I'm not sure why, but I REALLY enjoyed suggesting she hang it in her cubicle at work. For all I know she has a corner office with a view. I really thought the 2 nd. If anyone is wondering, they kept the $10.00. I think it was a bargain though. I did a web search. And these things go for $16 or so apiece. This third let...

Gabe's Letters: January 2008
http://www.gabesletters.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 30, 2008. This continues my trend of professing some strange sort of "monogamy" to a corporation. And of course this letter includes one hell of a good idea! Could it get any more generic? Related To Other Letters. Monday, January 28, 2008. If you have yet to read the first Hormel letter. Or the second Hormel letter. You should read them both before this one. I found Kelly's 2 nd. Response unsatisfactory and needed to get in touch with her again. My guess was that the 2 nd. A Dr Seuss ...

Gabe's Letters: Hollister Co.
http://www.gabesletters.com/2008/06/hollister-co.html
Saturday, June 28, 2008. This letter is based on a bad experience a friend had at Hollister. This is in fact a photo of the actual potato that was sent to them. Here it is in it's shipping container. I expected a quick response. When none had arrived after about a month I wrote back. I'm not too excited about Tom's reply. They never answered my followup. I have reason to believe they found this website and decided not to play my reindeer games anymore. That's the prettiest potato i've ever seen.

Gabe's Letters: Frito Lay

Wednesday, March 4, 2009. Hal often has ideas to make existing. Products better, this is one of those times. I'd written Frito Lay in 1998, Now it was Hal's turn. This is basically a slightly personalized form letter. At least they mentioned Olga. Hal always seemed like more of a Lacey or Misty kind of guy to me. Such a great idea and all they sent was some lousy coupons! Labels: Harold M. Rantello. April 21, 2010 at 8:05 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Scoop About Gabe"s Letters:.

Gabe's Letters: November 2007
http://www.gabesletters.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 30, 2007. Peter Larnier is the alias I used for this letter. It's one of the rare times a letter came from him. He was referenced in many letters he just didn't write them very much. As is indicated below he's the music director (well one of them) for my musical about Gouda cheese. A huge shout out to my pal Brian Vermeire. Like I said, hard to believe anyone would respond to this silliness, but I'm glad they did. The Life of Gouda. Thursday, November 29, 2007. I guess they weren't hungry.

Thursday, June 26, 2008. A new letter AND the debut of a new alias. Only time will tell if he sticks. Is Aunt Ernestine the new Uncle Irwin? Not sure why but I'm digging this envelope. A classic hand written response. Someone actually spent more than 30 seconds on this. Kudos to them! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). An Ongoing Collection of Absurd Correspondence. Gabe's Letters: Frito Lay
http://www.gabesletters.com/2009/02/frito-lay.html
Sunday, February 15, 2009. I decided to write to Frito Lay. It seemed that their " Rold. Gold' product was a natural partner for the "Non-Shop" concept. All letters from "Gabe's Non-Shop" go out with this handy, informational pamphlet. Brian designed this and I think the "Non-Shop" concept may have been his idea or suggestion. Their response is generic. They even sent the original letter back. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). An Ongoing Collection of Absurd Correspondence. G3's Quest for Zero.
