Samstag, 31. Januar 2009. Kleine Dörfer mit Holzhäusern auf Stelzen. Bauern mit den typischen vietnamesischen Strohhüten auf dem Kopf arbeiten auf den Reisfeldern. Die Sraßen sind gut und man gewöhnt sich schnell an die kleinen Moppeds. Es beginnt Spaß zu machen um die Kurven zu jagen. Erst als es dunkel ist finden wir ein Hotel, das Essen ist schrecklich irgendeine Suppe keine Ahnung was da drin ist. Hoffentlich haut das nicht durch. So heisst die Farm auf der ich arbeite. Mein Arbeitsplatz eine Baumwollpresse. Damit presse ich containergrosse Module. Abendstimmung auf der Baumwollpresse. Umzug zur nächsten Farm. Mittwoch, 28. Mai 2008. Xiva, 28. Mai 2008: Die Wüste haben wir durchquert. Es war gar nicht so schwer wie befürchtet, diese Wüste zu befahren. Ich bin jetzt in der Oase Xiva in Uzbekistan. Hier ist es wie in einem lebendigen orientalischen Museum, doch dazu später mehr. Der arme kam ganz schön ins Schwitzen. Abends waren wir aber alle sehr fertig, auch Costja! Since we have been here in 1995, Darwin has changed a lot. And not only for the good! It´s high season and we can hardly find rooms, let alone reasonable prices! Are we getting old? Clearing the bikes and MOT. We say good-bye to Björn, who has plans for an alternative route, and leave Darwin on the Stuart Highway.

We made our very first snowman! Jonathan took over and got very serious about our snowman.great job, Dad!
