Thursday, August 11, 2011. Just and update- thus far we have caught 4 "friends" Every morning the animal control comes to relocate them far away. The friends are getting bigger and bigger so there is obviously a family clan that has been raiding our garage. So for the past few weeks we have had a "friend" come and visit every night. I finally decided that uninvited guests need to visit somewhere else so Maddie and I got a live trap and this is what we caught. Natalie, David, Maddie, or Ethan.

Thursday, January 24, 2013. It is 34 degrees and we think a heat wave has hit. Really! For the past month it has been -20, 0, and once it got to 13 degrees. Ethan went on a boyscout camp out last weekend and it was -20. I literally prayed that he would not freeze. He came home and his cheeks were very rosy, but I had bundled him up with so many layers that he did ok. (There were other boys who were not so lucky- sad.). It is even to cold to go skiing- now that is cold. Natalie, David, Maddie, or Ethan.

Monday, October 3, 2011. I am so far behind so this is just a quick update. We have spent the last few weekends painting the outside of the house a beautiful yellow. There is nothing like standing on a two-story house with a paint brush, hoping that you don't fall. Does waking up at 4 am constitute sacrifice? Instead of attending the rest of the block meeting, Larry and I chose to attend the Danao Branch which met in the chapel at 9 am. We were asked to speak rather than just bearing our testimonies—I was sure I had taken only 7 minutes, but Larry informed me afterwards that I had taken almost 15! Posted by Liz B.
