The country had one day off to celebrate the King’s birthday, so Diana and I decided to head to the southwestern part of the country near the city of Koh Kong. (Thank you for the donation Beales! The children could not stop looking out the bus window at the passing countryside. After a short while, many of them started to get car sick. Laquo; Phnom Reap. Jessica’s Farewell Party. April 5, 2010 by Diana. Last week we had to say goodbye to Jessica – another Cambodias Hope volunteer that had been at APCA for the past two months. She hosted a party for the kids and thought it would be nice to cook them spaghetti – (not realizing that it would just become a topping for their 3x’s a day rice dish). The countryside was absolutely stunning. The project, Alphabet Soup, focuses on preschool aged children.
