Sew Many Possibilities : April 2015

Wednesday, April 29, 2015. April Stitch Tease Blocks. This month's Stitch Tease Bee Queen is my friend, Cindy. She went easy on us and gave us a quick, fun block with easy color instructions. We were to use any bright color for the plus center and low volume prints for the background. This is going to be an awesome quilt! These look great incorporated into the backing of a quilt, and they're a fun way to commemorate all of the different people who contributed to a bee quilt or other collaborative effort.

Sew Many Possibilities : September 2013

Thursday, September 5, 2013. Ever since I learned how to use a sewing machine , the thought or mention of hand-stitching inevitably produced a grimace on my face. Who would want to spend all that time sewing by hand when you can zip through a project on a machine at lightening speed? Hexies were another thing I dreaded. Thanks to my local Modern Quilt Guild Chapter, I was sort of forced into giving those a go as well. The gang at PaperPieces.com. Wow, I really can go on about almost nothing, can't I?

Sunday, May 18, 2014. Due to the stark white severity of the exposed skin in the following photos, sunglasses are recommended for your own viewing protection.*. This weekend, I took a break from scrub caps and finally made my very own Washi Dress. I don't sew many garments, but one of my short term goals is to do that more often. It's nearly impossible as a gal at 5'10" to walk into a store and buy clothes off the rack. Making my own clothes is the obvious solution, albeit intimidating. I'm not in love w...

Sew Many Possibilities : December 2013

Monday, December 2, 2013. It was quite a few months ago now when I discovered the splendors of the Missouri Star Quilt Company. My quilty Grammom had been nagging me for what felt like decades to check it out, but being the procrastinator that I am…I kept putting it off. Then one day a quilty friend posted a particularly spectacular " Daily Deal. On Instagram that prompted me to finally give in and check out the site. Now it's official. I'm a convert. From what? Then a couple months rolled on by. In hind...

Sunday, January 26, 2014. The due date for Challenge 2 of Project Quilting Challenge. Here I sit (yet again), late Sunday morning, still trying to pry my eyes open, anxiously awaiting the slowest-coffee-pot-in-the-world to finish producing one of the world's most beloved drugs - so that I can get my entry in just under the deadline. Procrastination-station. That is my motto. Ok, enough blather. Here it is in all its patchy glory:. The "Sit Quilty" Chair. Sit Quilty" - Patchwork Folding Chair. Then I cut ...

Sunday, February 23, 2014. Crafty Traveler Blog Hop. Welcome to my stop on the Crafty Traveler Blog Hop! I'm reviewing an awesome Noodlehead pattern: The Sidekick Tote. I love the way Anna writes all of her patterns. They are well illustrated, easy to understand, and the construction process makes sense (to me at least). If you haven't tried any of her patterns, you are missing out. There is a reason why they are so very popular. 8230;maybe it's just me. Thanks for stopping by to see my Sidekick Tote!
