We’re not sure if it was stolen, but it disappeared Monday night while we were anchored in Little Scorpion cove on Santa Cruz Island. For more than 8 hours we were afraid and powerless. Around 4:30 am I noticed that the wind was weakening a bit, and 30 knots felt calm! By 10 am it was possible to survey the damage. Over 100 people got to experience for a few hours what we live everyday. Our guests, 3 vets and their wives, sailed with us a few miles out, then we set the spinnaker and returned to Channel Islands Harbor.
