For our friends and relatives not familiar with Oklahoma's wind (tornadoes), the following photographs reflect what Susan and I discovered when we went to check on the condition of our truck and 5th wheel in Newcastle, Oklahoma. We heard that the area was struck by one of the many twisters, but we had no idea of the magnitude of destruction until we viewed it first-hand. The following pictures are of adjacent buildings, including the RV Storage office.

Monday, October 18, 2010. Modern Wagoneers Tour Ardmore, Oklahoma! The group met at Hidden Lake RV Park just southwest of Ardmore. Two couples arrived Thursday evening, but Suz and I pulled in on Friday around noon. I would not recommend Hidden Lake RV Park for an extended stay. The gravel sites and roads quickly dirty up a clean coach and diesel engine. Moreover, the park is adjacent to I-35 and the traffic noise is annoying. Note the fireplace, which is double-sided. Tuesday, June 14, 2011. American Heritage Music Festival - 2011. Our Oklahoma City Chapter of Good Sam's, The Modern Wagoneers, headed east to Grove, Oklahoma for the 14th Annual American Heritage Music Festival. Seven couples participated in the excursion and all rigs but one caravaned together to Grove. We camped on the shore of Grand Lake at Cedar Oaks RV Resort, which provided us an air-conditioned meeting room for meals, games, and our monthly meeting. Jerry and Susan Magill.
