Just a knapsack with toothbrush, undies, camera, a few Euro’s and a Fodor’s. Sweltering, blistering, baking: walking to see what I could see. Scalinatella di Spanga- descend where Standhal, Honore de Balzac, Byron, dukes, dignitaries and popes have stood. Fontana della Barcaccia gives fresh water at the base. Make no eye contact, do no...

Just another WordPress.com weblog. Retrospective of Paintings pre-Italy. Roma Part Two →. June 21, 2009. Perhaps the greatest collection of Western art, particularly of the Renaissance, is housed in Florence. All of the great masters from ancient Greeks and Romans up to late Renaissance; some Northern European masters and beyond are there in rich abundance. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Retrospective of Paintings pre-Italy. Finding Ken in Orvieto. Final Student Art Show. July 12, 2009. Second Student Show and Final Farewell. So, we had our second show. It was awesome- to stand back and see all we had created. It took lots of hard work, long hours, a willingness to throw away. All we thought we knew, a suspension of who we were,. A letting go of ego, bad habits, rules , preconceptions. Lots of lost sleep, lots of trips to the art store to buy more,.
