http://jim-breadman.blogspot.com/2010/05/getting-ready-for-watershed-on-sunday.html
Friday, May 28, 2010. Getting ready for Watershed on Sunday. Looking forward to my 1st session at Watershed this weekend. It is the Volunteer session that lasts 5 days. You work 6 hours and get studio time while you are there. They give free room and board. I will take a bag of clay with me and my tools and check this place out. Tomorrow I will make a dozen loaves of bread to take up and share. I know I can make bread I am still working on making pots. Labels: before the fall. View my complete profile.

Hello, Sailor!: Summer, In Short
http://www.mzlibrarian.com/2011/08/summer-in-short.html
Summer, In Short. Long time, no anything, huh? We had some weather and I haven't been able to manage communication. It's just not in me. I want to say all sorts of evil things about wind and houses and neighborhoods and insurance companies. Yes. Insurance companies. So, I'm going to gloss-over the whole tornado thing and focus on the awesomeness that happened this summer. We went to the McWane Science Center. It was loaded with children. Loaded. We still had a good time. We stopped by Mohican State Park.

Making it About Me. Excuse me while I self-indulge for a moment. I do not remember every student I've ever taught. I am not the teacher or librarian with the didactic memory. To be honest, half of my job as a librarian is to forget most of what I'm asked. I am a source for information, not a source for editorializing. And if my patrons thought I was remembering them or their queries, they'd quit asking me. I'm still writing the little brother weekly, and it's still taking pretty much everything I have to...

Hello, Sailor!: February 2011
http://www.mzlibrarian.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
This space is a recent discovery for me. And you have to walk through a swamp created by oxbow lakes to get there. It's perfect - isolated with my southern swampy water and my northern running water. It's a place that I feel at home with all of my own conflicting geographies. Best Mac and Cheese Ever. 3 tablespoons dry breadcrumbs. 1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil. 1 16-ounce package of frozen spinach, thawed and patted dry. 1 3/4 cups milk, divided (1 1/2 cups, 1/4 cup). 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded.

http://jim-breadman.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 1, 2010. I have a bunch of glazing to do this week and I think I am seeing results. Trying colored slips on wet clay and some bisque fired colors on bisque. Packing for Vacation 2 weeks of photos and fun. I just wish I could find a place to throw a pot while I am away. We went and had a look at Watershed last Friday and I may try for the volunteer session in May/June. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Windham, New Hampshire, United States. View my complete profile.
