Observations of the Fox: RPGaDay (Day 11)
http://vulpinoid.blogspot.com/2015/08/rpgaday-day-10_11.html
Game Mechanisms of the Week. Hell on Eight Wheels. 11 August, 2015. Reading theough yesterdays various responses, it seems that a favourite RPG publisher was a fairly controversial topic. Today's is no different. For today, I honestly have no answer. Who is a good writer? Who is a good editor? Who is a good line developer maintaining consistency across a product? I don't get caught up in the personality culture of the Monte Cook. S, the Vincent Baker. S, the John Harper. S, the Mark Rein-Hagen. But again...

Observations of the Fox: I think she's getting there.
http://vulpinoid.blogspot.com/2015/08/i-think-she-getting-there.html
Game Mechanisms of the Week. Hell on Eight Wheels. 08 August, 2015. I think shes getting there. I've been focused on two things over the past day, the first has been a multiform game combining political live action, nerf/boffer live action and miniatures. It's not my project, but I've been comandeered to integrate the miniatures and live action side of things. If I get the chance, I'll post up these ideas shortly. The second thing I've been focused on is. She also needs a lot more work before she's done.

Observations of the Fox: August 2015

Game Mechanisms of the Week. Hell on Eight Wheels. 31 August, 2015. Favourite Non-RP thing to come out of RPGing. My wife, Leah Wenman. Darkhive Worldbuilding (Part 10) - I See Who You Are. Like the pirate/steampunk setting developed last year, this now gives prompts for how religion might play out in the Darkhive, and starts to give us new ideas for details about governing systems and authority structures, and aesthetics in the setting. Observations of the Fox: RPGaDay (Day 15)
http://vulpinoid.blogspot.com/2015/08/rpgaday-day-15.html
Game Mechanisms of the Week. Hell on Eight Wheels. 15 August, 2015. I was in two minds about this one. When it comes to tabletop play, I've rarely had much luck. Maybe fifteen-or-so sessions has been the largest number of continuous sessions for a single story. But in sheer timespan, I did have a campaign that was only played on solstice nights for a while, and six stories of that game lasted almost four years (because we couldn't get together for some of those sessions). Observations of the Fox: RPGaDay (Day 9)
http://vulpinoid.blogspot.com/2015/08/rpgaday-day-9.html
Game Mechanisms of the Week. Hell on Eight Wheels. 09 August, 2015. Favourite Media that I wish were an RPG. There are so many RPGs inspired by genres I love, and so many that miss the mark. There are just as many licensed properties I've looked at over the years, where I enjoyed the source material, but it was simply applied as a veneer over a generic system. doing nothing for the licenced property and nothing for the system. Was one of those. Where do you go now? There are so many hacks that fill the v...

Observations of the Fox: Gradual worldbuilding
http://vulpinoid.blogspot.com/2015/08/gradual-worldbuilding.html
Game Mechanisms of the Week. Hell on Eight Wheels. 12 August, 2015. While I'm working on my rewrite of FUBAR, I've had quite a few thoughts about ways it needed to expand, improve, or just provide a better experience. I thought more about this when I tried to conceive a way incorporate Jesse Morgan. S Ronden Marr setting into a FUBAR style of game. Individual characters are the players link to the world, but it is the world that is important to long term campaign play rather than the individuls in it.
