My Charmed Life in the Sea of Pink. Sunday, April 29, 2012. Friday, April 20, 2012. My theory was that we should release the butterflies back onto the neighbors' milkweed flowers where they were crawling around and growing as little caterpillars. What actually happened is that the first butterfly (the one that hatched yesterday) took off in a blaze of glory above the treetops before I could even get a good photo. That butterfly was READY TO FLY! Birth of the Second Butterfly. That blog post will follow.

She's been begging me to sign her up since she was in kindergarten and her school had a few instructors come to show the kids how to play one day. That was 2 years ago and she hasn't let up. She kept telling me "PLEASE put me in tennis lessons! Beginning of practice: Miss Simona first showing Carlie how to hold the racket. Hitting the balls back and forth over the net!

To quote Devin as he came off the bus with a huge smile, he said "It was great! I made a lot of friends and didn't even get in trouble! I am so proud of Devin and happy for him. I know that not knowing the other kids or what to expect at a new school was nerve-wrecking for him (subsequently making it nerve-wrecking for Mama!
