Our first night was anchored in a snug little mangrove anchorage at Cabo Rojo, the south-western point of Puerto Rico, under the Cabo Rojo lighthouse. 9 June 2010 to 28 June 2010 - Galapagos Islands to French Polynesia. Our long voyage of nineteen days and fourteen hours, (3000 nautical miles with no land stops in between), from The Galapagos Islands to French Polynesia, was a challenge for me as I hadn’t experienced being out to sea for that length of time. Neither had Mal, but he is so much more experienced in sailing long distances than I. The first couple of days were a real challenge but once we were in a routine, the days passed more quickly.
