A note from EJ August 4, 2015. The place where I work is a large institution. We have three different cafeterias, in which you can have everything from a sub sandwich to rotisserie chicken to pizza straight out of the oven. The Malaise of Modernity | Musings on life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness in a modern world…

Who are you and why have you come here? The Malaise of Modernity. Musings on life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness in a modern world…. April 16, 2011 by jbiggley. Malaise (Sometimes) | this and that

On December 31st, I sat down to write my New Year’s resolutions and I had to forcibly stop myself around #35 because it was starting to get ridiculous. I probably could’ve kept going too. This could mean I’m a terrible person with a lot to work on OR maybe I can pretend I’m on a noble self-improvement quest. Either way, I’m excited. Hope we can keep the clouds at bay in 2013. Happy New Year. I’ll end this with a quote from. Ten Girls to Watch. Then there was Coldplay, a beautiful concert with “Xylo...

malaise and bonbons | the cranky, moody comments of the person standing by the punch bowl and wondering how she got roped into coming to this party in the first place

Happy 2010, i guess. January 2, 2010 · Filed under Uncategorized. New year’s eve: await out the countdown in a darkened movie theater with a fellow curmudgeon. when i get home, find a really flattering voice mail waiting for me. an adorkable guy has called to tell me that he wishes he could be kissing me at the stroke of midnight. New year’s day: said adorkable gentlemen leaves a sheepish voice mail on my phone, profusely apologizing for the drunk dial of the previous evening. Sigh and so the year begins.
