bright in africa: long time no see... or talk... or anything
http://brightinafrica.blogspot.com/2010/02/long-time-no-see-or-talk-or-anything.html
Wednesday, February 10, 2010. Long time no see. or talk. or anything. All is well in Malawi (or Marawi depending on your pronunciation). It's now time to close out everything that I've been doing for the last two years. Can you imagine? Saying goodbye to my Malawian family and friends is proving to be quite difficult. And thinking about donig anything else is also hard. I can't imagine doing something different or living somewhere else. I'll have to do that soon enough. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Saturday, December 19, 2009. There isn't too much to report on. Life in the village has been pretty good. We've had fun walking around and getting to meet the locals. Joyce made us guacamole last night and it was just as good as when we made it a few nights ago. mmm. We will be joined by yet another of Austin and Sarah's ...The w...

The Traveling Banana: November 2009
http://thetravelingbanana.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 30, 2009. My next trip is taking me to Kenya and "Jambo" is how you say "Hello" in Swahili. My 4 week adventure starts tomorrow, December 1st, and will bring me back home on the 29th. I've had great resources to talk to when it came to trip preparations. Three of my friends went this past summer on a trip with a similar itinerary, their advice has been invaluable and I want to give a shout out to Miss Megan Hershiser for being awesome and answering all my questions. Mzungu Jill in Africa!

The Peace Corps storys of Kirk Longstein. Wednesday, May 19, 2010. A Returned Peace Corps Volunteer – re integration. I'm back and already missing Malawi! I'm sorry that I did such a horrible job staying up to date with new blog posts. But it's easy to get distracted in Lilongwe. I have had interview after interview. Every interaction is met with, "wow, how are you doing with readjustment.". Should I be having a harder time? WOW Did you see a lot of people dying? So, does, like everyone have AIDS? It's h...
