Well, we made it through remarkably well, considering that this image is just about 75 feet from our house. We, unlike so many of our friends and famillies, have power. We were only out of power from 12:30 pm on Saturday until about 7:30 pm I have no idea how that is possible, but I'll take it. Has some good pics of the path of Ike as it made its way through Nac. They say there is a time and place for everything. sometimes I feel a little like Alice in Wonderland. Tuesday, January 29, 2008. Thanks to everyone who has sent emails asking about how my dad. Is He's been in pretty good spirits, but it is hard to keep it up when you are in a hospital bed. Right now we are in a holding pattern. He has a strep infection, and something called cellulitis. We are really hoping that the anti-biotics will take hold and get rid of all those strep monsters. I hate being sick.

Expect a colorful post each day. Today's color is red. While my kitchen is primarily pink, I think it secretly wants to be red. We bought this bib for Rees before we even knew she was coming! Lovely new growth on my roses. Too bad I'm going to prune them in February. My Aunt gave me this super cool doorstop made by my great grandmother. Green, a Day late.
