A feminist media blog where the real messages are in the details. Wednesday, February 20, 2013. Moms and Fifty Shades of Grey. I've been thinking about this a lot and I think I finally understand why Fifty Shades of Grey. Has been so popular with mothers in the US. I still don’t understand the fascination with Twilight. But one can’t have everything. Why are grown women so interested in submission and being dominated by a man? I've decided it has to do with vacations. The rest of the time they are respon...

http://noelleboyle.blogspot.com/2010/03/stepping-on-road-to-recovery.html
Monday, March 22, 2010. Stepping on the road to "recovery". After about three or four, I settled into prone shoulder openers and held each one for several minutes. I felt my internal organs and spine. I made tiny adjustments here and there and noticed how each small movement felt in my body. I could feel my mind starting to relax. Ps I could sure use some sharing from those of you out in Blog-Reader-Land! March 23, 2010 at 7:49 AM. LIKES* :) After I went to the gym last night I got the mat out. Two o...

http://noelleboyle.blogspot.com/2010/03/good-morning-practice.html
Tuesday, March 23, 2010. Good Morning, Practice! After 26 minutes, my nerves and muscles felt better. Not quite there, but on their way to a better place. I slept well last night and woke up at 5:55am to practice with my friend, Tammy. We heated the yoga room and flowed in a silent Ashtanga mysore practice that morphed into deep pigeon poses and shoulder openers (I love me some shoulder openers! I look forward to more Nidra tonight and crave another night of blissfully deep sleep. Subscribe to my blog.

A feminist media blog where the real messages are in the details. Monday, May 19, 2008. The Institution of Education. My children’s school is closing. I was really disappointed to hear this news, since it is the only school in my city that actually really fits my kids. I just moved them to this school this year and it has come as a real shock to have it go away. This got me thinking about education as an institution. And what I hope my children gain from their elementary education. Once a parent chooses ...

A feminist media blog where the real messages are in the details. Thursday, January 31, 2008. I am starting to get a migraine as I read the latest wage survey. According to surveys by Dice.com. Noelle's Nuggets: Resistance
http://noelleboyle.blogspot.com/2010/05/resistance.html
Saturday, May 1, 2010. Over the past year, I've allowed myself to become more and more stressed because of work (of the Dell variety) and I've moved away from working out at the gym and a regular yoga practice. Believe me, I've suffered the consequences. My health has suffered, my memory has suffered and I'm noticing more and more gray hairs. I've had chronic sleep issues and my eating habits haven't been stellar. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Subscribe to my blog. View my complete profile.
