girloffroad: 4th of July in the suburbs
http://girloffroad.blogspot.com/2009/07/4th-of-july-in-suburbs.html
Random adventures and thoughts. Saturday, July 04, 2009. 4th of July in the suburbs. The past few years our 4th of July celebration has been watching fireworks on tv and listening to the booms of local fireworks displays and hisses of bottle rockets going off in the neighborhood. Or Option B, ride local maybe CCT to Wakefield, then later ride mtn bikes to Lake Fairfax to see the Reston fireworks, and maybe light some sparklers. Judd and I rode to Wakefield to meet Jen via the Cross County Trail. Somethin...

girloffroad: April 2009
http://girloffroad.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Random adventures and thoughts. Wednesday, April 22, 2009. Review of training plan. Meanwhile the other half of the team will be racing at SpeedWeek. Sunday, April 05, 2009. Surviving my first mini enduro. After 8 laps my time was up and I clocked in at 5:20ish. 1st place woman, and top 10 for the men. Not bad. I felt alright for the event, aside from my stomach starting to feel icky half way, and the hint of leg cramps from overuse if I pushed too hard. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Review of training plan.

girloffroad: May 2009
http://girloffroad.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Random adventures and thoughts. Monday, May 04, 2009. 12 hrs of Lodi - a long race to the finish and equally long post. 12 Hrs of Lodi: Noon to midnight, race your mtn bike over 9.6 miles of single track with roots and a few small hills and enough turns and corners to make you think you are on a never ending tilt-a-whirl. Emily and I were both third leg on our teams for the first set of laps. We cheered our boys off to a great start, with Jason and Judd sitting pretty in top 5 at the start and finish...

Darden One Day at a Time. My experiences at the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia. May 1, 2008. I went running last week through main grounds… every time I do that, I find new nooks and crannies of the school that I didn’t know existed. I hope that my new connections to main grounds will be just like that… overturning stones I simply may have passed over in the past, and seeing what is underneath. Falling Short, Gracefully. Out on a Limb) Back in the Saddle. FUGAZI, but this time its for real. Sunday, December 21, 2008. All I want for Christmas …. an open letter to Mrs. Claus. Dear Frau Klaus,. I loved impersonating Herr Klaus along with 450 LBS'ers at the annual Santa Pub Crawl. I received your Christmas card in the mail. You looked fab (and did you lose some weight or what, yowza? Anyhoo, was hoping you could put in a plug for me with Herr K. About my friends and family - could you have Herr K. do right by my peeps? Its l...

Out on a Limb) Back in the Saddle. FUGAZI, but this time its for real. Tuesday, September 2, 2008. Last week was Orientation week at LBS - a meticulously planned affair, complete with ice sculptures that spelt 'MBA 2010' on the LBS front lawn. Rumor has it that since "The Crown" owns the building, said Crown has to be petitioned before conducting frivolity on the front lawn. Translation - "The Crown" approves out liquor license. Now back to reading cases about Honda, Apple and low-cost airlines . Scenes ...

Steven Locklear- The Cycling Manimal: Uptown Greenville Crit
http://cyclingmanimal.blogspot.com/2008/03/uptown-greenville-crit.html
What a weekend to start off the first and second race of my season! Greenville is the city of the pirates! He even took the extra step and made a sign in which the photographer at the race took a picture of them and put it up on the website. At the end of the race, i went over to all of my drunk friends/fans and I had seen little cups laying all around them. oh wonderful, they even brought jello shots to the race. lovely! Gabe, passed out after the race. Looks and sounds like you had a good time.
