Friday, March 28, 2014. New Beginnings and Moving Back Home. My life has been a little bit stressful lately. Okay, really, really. My neighbors that kept moving in were getting worse, work was crazy, and my bills seemed endless-I wasn't quite sure was I was going to do-until that one night about a month ago. After some not-so-fun events with my neighbors, I was getting to the point where I was getting too stressed out for my own good. Now I just have to finish unpacking. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Wednesday, March 11, 2015. Lately, I've been enjoying the small or simple beauty that can be found in everyday life. Short Stories and Lyrics. Hunger of the Dead. Never Been Good At That. Peanut Shell (backbeat version). Tom In A Cubicle. THAT STRANGEST OF WARS. Where Dan Lord Lives! If I recall correctly, the first time I encountered the phenomenon of adanism was in a Taco Bell off of Highway 98. Looking back on that day about five years ago I see how ironic it was that the weather was breezy and lit up with warm sunlight that shimmered all across the bay. What a contrast to the strange conversation I overheard! I adm...

MangiaMaccheroni - Houston, TX - The Official Website of MangiaMaccheroni - Felipe Riccio, Bart Benton, and Matt Wenaas
Mangiamaccheroni [manjeeahmahkayrawney] translates to Pasta Eaters – a term coined in early 20th century Napoli for the locals who would stand around and eat the long strands of pasta. It was common to see street stalls outside pasta manufacturers that would cook the fresh maccheroni along with other items. Photos of the mangiamaccheroni began to appear on postcards and the pasta eaters became icons of the Gioia di Vivere (Joy of Life) movement of the time.

Why is that, you may ask (as if I think you may actually care)? And why is this significant? Reason for not keep...
