I had some fantastic directions for how to find different places in the city. I hardly used them. I would be on my way to the museum or to get a meal. Now a Souvenir Shop, this was the dojo. I was hoping to find some 'joe's' coasters there but they were sold out.wonder why? Any hoo, the building is in Gas Town, home of the steam clock and a lot of shops and restraunts. Stanely Park was fantastic. There was a still some damage from a bad storm last year but it is still beautiful. Not to mention huge, there is a lot to do, see and walk around. The aquarium was small but nice. I enjoyed the whales, and I loved the jelly fish exhibit. Git yer head outta there! What is it about men that makes them put their heads in mout.I am not going to continue that thought. I think this is a leopard seal, he was huge.

I love the auction. I swore I was NOT going to bid. Auction was crazy this time. Maybe because we had so many first timers. People were bidding like mad. A number of items went into the thousands. 2 of the director chairs went for over 5 grand, I was stunned. Lucky winner, I think her name is Bev. I like the cameras and decided to try for Adrian's this time, I got peter's last time. It went way out of my range and since there was 1 shot left they decided to take it with the winner. It's all fun and games.

Who showed up at HLWW8. Some new faces and some friends from the past were there. These are shots during the discussion panels it was a terrific line up. There were some good questions asked and some off the usual topics this time. Our ever ready MC John Mosby. This is not the first time John as been drafted as MC. (we first met in Leeds) I do not blame committee tho because he does a very good job of it. I understand he also writes a bit. Speaking of writting Gillian Horvath and Donna Letto.
