This is my diary of our new life in New Zealand up to 2011 when we moved to QLD to be near our grandchildren. Thursday, March 16, 2006. Well I have less than 3 weeks left at work, its our 20th wedding anniversary on the 22nd and I have the day off.then I will have 2 mths off! Heres a couple of pics I found while scanning the mountain of pictures we'd taken over the years. We went to Warrington again to see all our friends, say good bye to some who are flying out soon and to sign the flag, as we doubt we will have time to go again. Here we are signing the flag. On the 29th November, we took our daughter out for a meal for her birthday, probably our last with her for a while - we bought her a mobile with video/camera for her to use to keep in touch! Well a week has gone by, the weather has been typical, you have 2 days off.and it rains! OK it only rained for a while yesterday, and it looks as if the suns popping out now.yes there it is! On Saturday we went to the forum Meet at Mascrat Manor, Juntion 21 on M6 it took us 2.30 hrs to get there but it was worth it to get to meet the people I have come to see as comrades and friends in the journey to NZ. Well we arrived in Hong Kong, ready for our 5 hr booked Shower and massage and complimentary food and drinks. It was WELL worth the 20 each. Well here we all were, Xmas day at Grams house, it seemed strange to be in my mum-in-laws house opening xmas, but I still felt at home - I couldnt ask for a nicer one than Dot.
