I Eat, Therefore I Run: Salt Lake 10 Miler...

http://www.marathoningmadnesss.blogspot.com/2011/04/salt-lake-10-miler.html

Sunday, April 3, 2011. Salt Lake 10 Miler. It was nice to have the weather cooperate for this event! The last couple of years have been less than favorable. I guess it's a risky time of year where it can snow one day, and then turn around as t-shirt weather the next. I kind of went overkill on running pants and a long sleeve tech, but hey; it was only 10 miles! I spent miles 3-5 trying to form a fluid cadence. One the runners that passed me earlier had remained in my sights, and from miles 6-8, we ex...

Tuesday, April 19, 2011. Salt Lake City Marathon. This was a tune-up race for ones to come this year, so I can potentially meet some time goals on a couple other courses. I'm gearing up to hopefully pr at Utah Valley, &/or St. George. As anyone knows; race day can be hard to predict as there are many variables to affect a performance. Here I am in the bright yellow shirt approaching the finish line. Official finishing time: 3:13:50. Age group placing: 15/114. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

http://www.marathoningmadnesss.blogspot.com/2011/04/antelope-island-50-mile-buffalo-run.html

Sunday, April 10, 2011. Antelope Island 50 mile Buffalo Run. Being my first 50 miler, I just wanted to make it through feeling half way decent to the finish. My finishing time was slower than anticipated, but I'm not dissapointed as I was venturing into uncharted territory for myself. I maintained the goal to conserve my energy with going out slowly, walking the major uphills, and steady on the flats and downhills. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Chronicles of my Mustang. The restoration of my 1967 Mustang. Sunday, August 18, 2013. I mentioned in my previous post that this car has gone to three shows and one cruise-in. It has won an award at every single one. I figured I should do a post about each of the shows since I haven't been really good about keeping this blog up. So here it goes:. Tuacahn was the first show it went to in April 2012. I actually did an entire post on that which you can see here. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). This was my Dad's...

Chronicles of my Mustang. The restoration of my 1967 Mustang. Monday, March 26, 2012. I don't have too much to blog about. That doesn't mean Mike hasn't been busy, just means I have been slacking on taking pictures. So the last blog post I was typing up as Mike was hooking the transmission and engine together. I actually got to help with it a little bit. anyways I didn't get that many pictures of the process but here they are. Saturday, March 24, 2012. We Went to Visit the Car. Chronicles of my Mustang. The restoration of my 1967 Mustang. Friday, March 8, 2013. Before and After Pictures. The car has been parked all winter so nothing has happened for a few months. I am very anxious to get it out and take it to some car shows this year. We are in the preliminary stages of planning, but hope to take it to the Mustang 50th Anniversary next year. Chronicles of my Mustang. The restoration of my 1967 Mustang. Saturday, September 17, 2011. We were on our way back from Logan today (Mike ran the Top of Utah Marathon) so we decided we would stop in Hooper to drop off more car parts that need to be painted. It was nice getting to see the progress on the car thus far. This fender has been primed and is in the process of body filler being put on it and smoothed out. Once that is smoothed out, it will get another layer of primer before being painted. This ...

These two pictures were taken in April 1967 (when the car was only 3 months old). The next three were taken in May of 1974 on my aunts wedding day. This picture was taken in the 1980's. This was April 2008. And current day (April 2012). Just for comparison sake. This is me standing next to the car. The 26th was the a...

Arielle Nadine Moretto

Welcome to our world! She is surprisingly strong. She can already hold her head up and track your face. if she wakes up for you that is. There has been a little confusion about how to pronounce her name, so I thought I would give a short explanation. Arielle is of Hebrew origin and means Lioness of God. The A in her name makes the same sounds that a doctor asks you to make when you stick your tongue out so the name sounds like ah-ree-el as apposed to air-ee-el. A note about her name.

Marathoning for "real" women

Marathoning for "real" women. From aching and chafing to wine at the finish line. I'm not a born runner. I'm an average-sized mother-of-one with very little free time on my hands, who decided to run a marathon just four years after I first pulled on a pair of running shoes, ran less than half a mile, and promptly threw up in the Manchester ship canal. This blog is my thoughts on long-distance running - the pain, the endurance, the motivation and, definitely most importantly, the joy. This week I got some...
