I'm going (back) to college. Wednesday, July 2, 2008. Yesterday was a pretty uneventful day. Kaden took a nap from 7:30 AM to about 1 PM. We spent about 3 hours sitting on the beach in the afternoon. Last night for dinner we had 3 different kinds of sausage wraps. Krystal, Matt and I watched fireworks on the deck until about 1 AM. Ashley and Kaden blowing bubbles. Kaden's dead worm he played with all morning. Kaden and Brennan's live worm they played with all afternoon. Wow, Kaden, that is a NAP!

I'm going (back) to college. Thursday, July 3, 2008. Wednesday - Last full day. We ended the day yesterday shooting off fireworks on the beach. I felt like I was in the opening scene of Flight of the Navigator where everything was so peaceful and serene with the fireworks exploding over the ocean. The light from the fireworks would shine on the beach and cast shadows of the palm trees - I loved it. . Here are a few pictures from the day. . Kaleb caught this crab (and 1 more that broke free of the box).

I'm going (back) to college. Thursday, July 3, 2008. Wednesday - Last full day. We ended the day yesterday shooting off fireworks on the beach. I'm going (back) to college. Sunday, June 29, 2008. Future Metal Head - End of Day 2. Most the time Kaden can not decide what he wants to do. Movie or video game? Thomas or Geo Trax? Tonight, I caught him just in time enjoying playing the "gar" (guitar). He really like to play Guitar Hero with his cousin Kaleb and though he can not keep up he will sit in front of that game for hours (if we let him). He is so cute. I'm going (back) to college. Saturday, June 28, 2008. End of Day 1. Day 1 at the beach in coming to an end and what a fun day it was. We played in the ocean (pictures to come), had a shrimp boil, took naps and even went crab fishing. We are having a blast. Kaden is really enjoying his time with the family. He is especially enjoying playing with his cousin, Brennan. They are so cute together. Whatever one of them does, the other must do as well. . Kaden and Brennan riding their bikes. End of Day 3.

I'm going (back) to college. Monday, June 30, 2008. End of Day 3. Today was "hump" day for our beach vacation. . I like to try and space things out - spread out the fun so we don't get bored as the vacation wears on. We decided that today would be Schlitter-day. The day where we load up in to 2 vehicles, slather on the SPF 50 and hit the wave pools, lazy rivers and big slides atSchlitterbahn Galveston. He loved the rapids. I thought she was going to come unglued - kind of like the lady next to us....

I'm going (back) to college. Thursday, May 29, 2008. Finally - the last concert and contest are over. My final concert - the Band Extravaganza - was a marathon event with 6 different groups playing over 22 pieces and lasting almost 3 hours. It was a very fulfilling concert not only for the end of the year but also for my last concert with Springtown high school. The best Senior Class ever. I'm going (back) to college. Saturday, June 28, 2008. Going to the Store. One of the many tourist stops that you have to visit before leaving the Bolivar Paninsula. Is a Shell gas station turned supermarket. Referred to as "The Store" by the locals, it is one part supermarket, one part ACE hardware, one part CVS. One part Radio Shack, one part gift shop and one part major attraction. Anything that you might need or want while visiting the beach you can find here. . 4 C batteries for $7. End of Day 3.
