Paradise Found: Family time in Retirement
http://cantergrovegal.blogspot.com/2011/01/family-time-in-retirement.html
Monday, January 17, 2011. Family time in Retirement. Today is a Federal holiday so Mat is home. I'm home, but because I'm retired. Still sounds strange to say that. As a retiree, there are so many things that I have on my "to do" list. I know I have plenty of time to knock off those things. Just take 'em one at a time. But, of course, it's not happening as fast as I'd like. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Where I can be found (scrappers who blog). Diana: What's in my Head.

Paradise Found: 2/5/12 - 2/12/12
http://cantergrovegal.blogspot.com/2012_02_05_archive.html
Monday, February 6, 2012. Two plus Two makes Four. Been MIA but I'm back. Guess it's about time that I let you know what Mat and I were up to last year. Mat is still working his magic with DOE and the Fac Reps. The difference this year is that he took a promotion so he's now the Director. The move took him over to ORP, RL's sister office. But he's still with the Fac Reps. It was a good choice and a good move for him. Retirement frees up 9 hours per day from being at work. Well, now that it's my turn,...

Paradise Found: Catching up on 2011...part deux
http://cantergrovegal.blogspot.com/2012/01/catching-up-on-2011part-deux.html
Friday, January 13, 2012. Catching up on 2011.part deux. Yesterday, I captured Nick's year. Today, it's Samantha's turn. Dance: As expected, dance was THE biggest thing in Samantha's world. It was the middle of her first year in MCB's Senior Company. As such, the spring performance allowed her to dance in some more difficult and interesting pieces, including Aranada (otherwise known as the Spider Dance, choreographed by Debra Rogo).one of my favorites of all time! As the new school year started, Samantha...

Paradise Found: Bye-Bye, Bay Area!
http://cantergrovegal.blogspot.com/2010/09/bye-bye-bay-area.html
Thursday, September 2, 2010. Bye-Bye, Bay Area! First stop: The Rain Forest. Three levels of warm and humid. But also very cool. Lots of interesting birds and butterflies. And the tiniest colorful frogs you ever saw! Once we returned to ground level, we checked out the aquarium. I don't know about you, but I always enjoy seeing all the underwater life "up close". And no matter how may aquariums we go to, they never cease to fascinate me. And this time, so was JOE! We arrived home Sunday evening.tired...

Paradise Found: Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk
http://cantergrovegal.blogspot.com/2010/08/santa-cruz-beach-and-boardwalk.html
Wednesday, August 18, 2010. Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk. We pulled up to the Boardwalk and it brought back many memories. Mat and I came to the Boardwalk a few times before we were married. There's always so much to do and see. Much fun to be had. And this trip was no different. And, although they knew we were going to the beach, I don't think the kids they expected amusement park rides and fair food, too. And from the smile on his face, I'd say he had fun! What a fabulous day! View my complete profile.

http://cantergrovegal.blogspot.com/2010/12/merry-christmas-2010.html
Saturday, December 25, 2010. It's been too long since I've updated this blog. But on this joyous day, I want to say Merry Christmas and give thanks to our Father for all that He has given for us. It has been a truly wonderful December for us. Starting with December and all that the season has to offer. It was another wonderful Nutcracker for Samantha as she danced the parts of Fairy, English, and Flowers.and she danced them beautifully! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Paradise Found: Facelift
http://cantergrovegal.blogspot.com/2011/02/facelift.html
Thursday, February 17, 2011. No, not me! We've been talking about this for a while and now, we're starting the process. We've been looking at all our countertop options - granite, quartz, and solid surfaces (like Corian). We've been contemplating cabinet choices - oak, cherry, and maple - as well as stain options. And if that weren't enough, there's also sink, faucet, and cabinet hardware to consider. ARGH! Next step, waiting for the final quote to come in so we can get started. View my complete profile.

Paradise Found: Too much time has passed
http://cantergrovegal.blogspot.com/2010/12/too-much-time-has-passed.html
Thursday, December 2, 2010. Too much time has passed. My poor blog. So neglected. Especially since the start of my Facebook account. But that's no reason to forget about it. Time to play catch up a little. Yes, school's back in session and the kids are each "rulin' the school". Meaning each is in the highest grade level at his/her respective school. Samantha is an 8th grader (just one year away from high school.WOW! And still likes going to school (YAY! And Nick has a Super Bowl victory under his belt.

Paradise Found: 2010: A quick recap
http://cantergrovegal.blogspot.com/2011/01/2010-quick-recap.html
Wednesday, January 5, 2011. 2010: A quick recap. Can you believe it's 2011 already! 2010 just seemed to come and go so quickly. So much happened last year. 2 Samantha's dance year was incredible! 3, New vehicle: Our 1996 Accord was starting to show its age so it was time to get a new car. We went "green" with a blue Honda Insight (hybrid) which gets 40 mpg. We LOVE the way it looks and the mileage it gets! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.
