The fine art sculpture of Kim Henigman Bruce. My mom, an avid reader, considered education key to self-empowerment, self-sufficiency and independence. She made sure I received an education and lead by example as she is a very strong and independent woman herself. As the work progressed to using actual books, it took a turn. I was sealing the books closed, making them inaccessible, and unable to open. It was then that I realized what the work was truly about. Confessions of an Incurable Artist.

The fine art sculpture of Kim Henigman Bruce. Is a series of cast encaustic sculpture that study the architecture of form. Casting encaustic (beeswax with pigment) in martini glasses, eggcups and muffin tins; Kim Bruce creates sculptures that explore the use of everyday objects as abstract architectural elements. Drawing on her architectural background, the former interior designer also investigates the use of geometric forms; constructing molds from matt board, clay and tin. The Art of the Book.
