marc anderson illustrative blog: Red-Winged Blackbird
http://marcandersonillustration.blogspot.com/2015/03/red-winged-blackbird.html
Sunday, March 22, 2015. I was back at it with another bird video today. This is the finished painting. Going dark with watercolors has always been tricky for me. I think this turned out pretty well, though. At the very least, it was a confidence booster to go bold and dark in the future. Birds of the world. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). marc anderson illustrative blog: September 2012
http://marcandersonillustration.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 27, 2012. Burnin' Brats an' Effigies. Well I started this painting yesterday before I heard about the resolution to the NFL Ref lockout. But I don't care, and I think this illustration still holds up. Monday, September 24, 2012. Wouter "Gotye" De Backer is, in my opinion, a good looking man. That being said, the first time I saw his "Somebody That I Used to Know" music video, all I could think about what his jacked up mouth. Huge, crooked, teeth are always fun to draw. I've had these ...

marc anderson illustrative blog: April 2012
http://marcandersonillustration.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 16, 2012. Wednesday, April 4, 2012. Here's part of a big illustration commission I got last week. I'll be posting more of these as I finish them, but I thought I would share this one today. It has been a while since I did any drawing or digital painting, so it took a little bit to get back into the swing of things. After the next two weeks though, I should have all the rust shaken off. marc anderson illustrative blog: July 2012
http://marcandersonillustration.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 21, 2012. It's been quite a while since I posted over here. For those who have stopped checking I say good riddance. For anyone reading this I'd like to thank both of you for your continued loyalty. Anyway, this was a fun father-son duo. I haven't been doing much exaggeration this summer. I can't really say why, but with the slower business, I've found it difficult to really get in a groove. Even maintaining the motivation to really push a drawing can be tough. Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Bushy, bushy eyebrows make me happy. These two guys were a lot of fun to draw. Monday, May 21, 2012. I wasn't entirely sure about this cartoon initially, but after I worked out some of the dialogue, I felt better. Plus French President Hollande has a really fun face to draw. I'll be looking forward to drawing him again in the future. Friday, May 18, 2012. The Vikings Clean House. Monday, May 14, 2012. I Could Go For A Slice. Wrote me this birthday poem:. marc anderson illustrative blog: Perkins Sketching
http://marcandersonillustration.blogspot.com/2013/07/perkins-sketching.html
Monday, July 1, 2013. Well, it's been a while, but I think I'm ready to start posting again. I've got a bit of new stuff, not a lot, but some. This bunch of sketches were done on a Perkins run almost a month ago. I'll try to post something a little more exciting next time. Edit: I think Blogger feels a little jaded and for whatever reason the image is huge. I'll try and figure it out later. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). marc anderson illustrative blog: More Figure Painting
http://marcandersonillustration.blogspot.com/2012/12/more-figure-painting.html
Wednesday, December 12, 2012. I took my Wacom with me to open life drawing again. The first pose that I got in on was the head shot on the left. We worked on it for 30 minutes, then another 20. Somehow I accidentally saved over the whole 50 minute pose, but luckily I still had the first 30 minutes saved elsewhere. Sometimes I really hate computers. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). marc anderson illustrative blog: Forgetful Me.
http://marcandersonillustration.blogspot.com/2012/11/forgetful-me.html
Thursday, November 15, 2012. Well, I'm sitting in my studio watching an old Bob Ross video and it occurred to me that I scanned in a doodle I did at open life drawing the other night. This was drawn with Prismacolor Col-erase pencils. Had I known it was going to be a long pose I would have brought actual colored pencils or maybe watercolors. Never the less, the col-erase pencils worked great. December 8, 2012 at 4:47 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.
