That's What She Said. Wednesday, June 24, 2015. Glacier practice at St Mary's. Staying with Danny was great for many reasons (thank you Danny, we love you! One side benefit was being able to drive up the road to St Mary's Glacier for a bit of snow climbing practice. The lake is also very pretty:. I think the Hiker Man has a few add-ons:. We were testing our aluminum crampons on running shoes, and that worked great, at least on a warm day and not too much time with our feet in the snow (no cold toes today).

That's What She Said. Tuesday, March 24, 2015. 4 MPH Challenge and Warrior Dash. The net effect was that the daytime laps were easy, especially compared to the Big Dog race. However, unlike in TN where we switch to a road overnight, this race stayed on the trails. Being easier trails, it was certainly more doable in the dark, and definitely a good course for this format. Just not as easy as the Big Dog overnight, and for me it wasn't a "gimme". So I'm getting ahead of myself. Oh look, a porta-potty!

Monday, December 31, 2012. Early yesterday morning (29 Dec) Liz and I both finished the Houston 100. This was Liz's 36th 100 miler in the calendar year 2012, and it was my 27th. We did it and it is now done! We both pushed hard on this one and following a sub-24 hour performance two weeks ago we both did a repeat sub-24 with Liz finishing in 22:26 and myself in 20:19. Perhaps the most surprising number that popped out as we compiled this list is the number of hours run. Liz had a total of 979.5 hours of running in 2012!
