JoAnne's Journal: June 2010
http://ameliasmommyformerlyjoanne.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
My life as a mom, wife, daughter and worker-bee. Saturday, June 5, 2010. I could not have beamed any more brightly as we entered the courthouse, all of us sporting our happiest summer clothes, with T-Mobile waving and saying "hi" to everyone along the way. All the people working in the courthouse, who previously had been short but professional with me, now spoke words of congratulations as we walked down the halls. They pointed us to our courtroom waiting area: Juvenile Court. Our journey.T-Mobile's ...

JoAnne's Journal: The Eating Thing
http://ameliasmommyformerlyjoanne.blogspot.com/2011/09/eating-thing.html
My life as a mom, wife, daughter and worker-bee. Wednesday, September 7, 2011. My obsession over what my kids eat, how much, how often, etc. started the second Meena was born. The more-difficult-than-advertised nursing- Is she putting on weight fast enough? Her cheeks are round and pink, but still.do you think she's eating enough? Compulsively graphing her weight on the official Pediatric Growth Chart just to be sure. Followed by formula- How many ounces did she drink? Are her cheeks round enough? This w...

JoAnne's Journal: April 2011
http://ameliasmommyformerlyjoanne.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
My life as a mom, wife, daughter and worker-bee. Sunday, April 24, 2011. My dad has a great way of making me laugh just when I need it most (another miracle of the daddy/daughter relationship). I remember him joking when my grandma was going into the hospital for a minor procedure that she was going to the horse-pistol. It lightened my mood and it made me worry less. But, last week when T-Mobile went to the hospital, nobody was laughing or joking or making light. My friends and co-workers are incredible.

JoAnne's Journal: In Gratitude
http://ameliasmommyformerlyjoanne.blogspot.com/2011/03/in-gratitude.html
My life as a mom, wife, daughter and worker-bee. Tuesday, March 15, 2011. I’m flying home today from a 5-day retreat in Boston. If I told you what I did there, you’d think I was a big fat freak, so instead I will tell you what I took away. Now that we have that out of the way, let me tell you what I took away from the teachings. I talk too much. It’s good to check in with myself every once in a while, and I need to do more of that. I haven’t really visited myself in quite some time. I...I mean, reeeeeeea...

JoAnne's Journal: March 2010

My life as a mom, wife, daughter and worker-bee. Sunday, March 14, 2010. I would NEVER give my kids McDonald's for breakfast! Those poor kids. My kids are so lucky. I got back into the car and turned on NPR. The story on the news was that 1 in 4 families with children was unable to feed them enough. Then I thought about how LUCKY those kids were to eat McDonald's for breakfast; to eat anything at all for breakfast. Egg mcmuffinis for breakfast? Rock on, you fabulous mom, you! What else will you teach me?

JoAnne's Journal: The Snowy Day
http://ameliasmommyformerlyjoanne.blogspot.com/2011/02/snowy-day.html
My life as a mom, wife, daughter and worker-bee. Monday, February 21, 2011. This is my version of The Snowy Day, not the Ezra Jack Keats version although that is one of my favs. No daycare/pre-school today, so I planned to take the day off from work. What a wonderful surprise to be in the middle of a beautiful snowstorm. I feel like I'm living in a snow globe! But, snow globes can make one claustrophobic, so out into the beauty we went. What a perfectly peaceful and relaxing Snowy Day.

JoAnne's Journal: July 2010
http://ameliasmommyformerlyjoanne.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
My life as a mom, wife, daughter and worker-bee. Saturday, July 24, 2010. Halfy Birthday, T-Mobile. T-Mobile is officially one and a half (plus about a month, because I haven't gotten around to posting in a while) and I've been reflecting on the 10 months he's been home. The first few nights are fuzzy now, but I remember wearing T-Mobile on my back, Korea-style, in the fabulous Ergo carrier I got at Pacifier. He's smarter than I know and it's always surprising what he can do or say or learn. It was a sur...

JoAnne's Journal: Happy Campers
http://ameliasmommyformerlyjoanne.blogspot.com/2011/09/happy-campers.html
My life as a mom, wife, daughter and worker-bee. Sunday, September 4, 2011. Fabulous Husband, the kiddos and I went camping with a friend and her little man last week. We did all sorts of amazing things, but my favorite parts are the little moments that happen. It's the bottom of the sky! I love the words kids use. They're perfectly descriptive and come from such an honest place. The words they use don't match what I would say, yet they communicate the exact essence. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
