Thursday, November 20, 2014. When I get certain ideas they won't leave me alone. They don't die quietly in my cerebellum. And s, I apply certain techniques in trying to just illustrate them, having learned a little more how to work with Sketch-up year after year. The thing about trying to do an elaborate graffiti like this is that:. B) I have no indoor facility where I could stage these and see if they align even on a flat surface and look cohesive. Tuesday, March 24, 2015. My House Cleaned Up. Time to get rid of the photographs that I wallpapered the three dimensional sketch with earlier. These are all just best guesses at window placement with all the sills starting at two foot six inches, and five feet tall. Sunday, March 22, 2015. In trying to extract two-dimensional elevations of the changes that I would like to make on my house I ended up re-developing post placement and wondering if In am cantilevering this portico too much. I plan on using s...

Tuesday, July 29, 2014. Porch Railing One Can Comfortably Sit Upon. Building codes usually require a 42 inch guardrail when there is a drop off more than 32 inches. I have a desire to have a guardrail one can sit comfortably upon. To get away with this I decided to landscape around this porch so that the drop off was terraced in two steps. Seems a little bit elaborate to be able to rest one's feet on a rail while sitting on a seat 21 inches high, but here are my ideas on that. Sunday, July 20, 2014.
