Cooking, Crafts, Travel and More. My name is Margy Lutz. I live in a float cabin on Powell Lake in British Columbia, but it hasn't always been so. So, even though I was born cityfolk, I developed a love for the outdoors and adventure. I married Wayne, a pilot and fellow adventurer. With our Piper Arrow airplane, we've traveled and camped throughout the United States, Mexico and Canada. That's how we discovered our new home in Powell River, BC. About our lifestyle and adventures. Thanks for the follow And...

Cooking, Crafts, Travel and More. Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Jeckyl and Hyde Deli and Ale House. I was hungry for a wood fired pepperoni pizza, so I went to my go-to spot for a fix. Tucked away in the corner of a commercial park in Bellingham you'll find a great little restaurant called the Jeckyl and Hyde Deli and Ale House. Don't let the modest exterior fool you, there are good drinks and great eats just inside. The name hints at a split personality - deli by day, pub by night. Bellingham, WA 98225. Summe...

Cooking, Crafts, Travel and More. Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Silo Series" by Hugh Howey. My husband Wayne is an avid science fiction reader and writer. I enjoy reading some of the first contact and post apocalyptic scifi books he buys for the Kindle. Having a family account stretches our book buying and reading budget. We learned about an outstanding science fiction writer named Hugh Howey at a Whatcom Community College class by Susan Colleen Browne. His trilogy of books including Wool. We learn even more ab...

Cooking, Crafts, Travel and More. Thursday, December 25, 2014. Family traditions are important to me, especially now that my family includes only Wayne and me. Christmas has always been a time to remember our heritage. So, one of our family Christmas traditions has been to make Swedish Spritz Cookies each year. The old family recipe card is in Mom's handwriting with the title:. Sprits - Swedish Cookies (Aunt Mary). 1 egg (or three egg yolks). 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1 teaspoon almond extract. In Wash...

Powell River Quad Rides. Powell River, British Columbia. March 9, 2015. Quad Ride at Chip North on Powell Lake. Logging areas are usually named after geographic locations. Powell River Quad Rides. Powell River, British Columbia. I live in a float cabin on Powell Lake in British Columbia, but it hasn't always been so. This year we purchased a barge to carry our quads around Powell and Goat Lakes so we can explore the many roads built by logging companies. It's been an amazing summer of new adventures and exciting experiences. You can read more about our lifestyle and float cabin living at the Powell River Books Blog. About our lifestyle and adventures. Kindle for $2.99.

Powell River Quad Rides. Powell River, British Columbia. November 19, 2014. Goat Island Quad Ride to Frogpond. Massive Goat Island sits in the middle of Powell Lake. To ride here, you need water transportation (boat, barge, raft, houseboat) to reach the Western Forest Products barge ramps and docks. The barge travels at 7 knots, so it took us an hour to get from our float cabin in Hole in the Wall to the Goat Dock (also known as the Clover Dock). Clover Lake with Powell Lake in the distance. We stopped a...

Monday, July 20, 2015. Its already long weekend in Indonesia, many people, family back home or visiting other families in other city. And me I would choose to stay at home nicely this holiday. And today, I will just lift one topic on my blog. Recently many of my clients and friends ask me like what kind of treatment or product that I use for the face. FYI ; my skin is still far from perfect ( I have dark spot which I hate the most, and still try to get rid off it ). Friday, July 10, 2015. Project Art Plu...

Unfinished tales from a fully loaded life. Reflections, Recollections, Ramblings, and Ruminations. Odes to my Muse. May 19, 2016. Creativity, the elusive muse. Nevertheless, I try to find comfort in what she said when she tried to change this process. To reign in that fleeting, fickle, elusive muse when she’s good and ready. Don’t be daunted. Music musings to chew on. Music From The OC. I never did get to fully appreciate the series itself though. Maybe it’s an acquired taste. Or maybe I just wasn’t the target audience. Here’s hoping more series would be able to come up with great, intelligent, fresh compilations such as this. At First Blush, “Falling-For-The-First-Time” Playlist (Part 2). 3 Crash Into Me – Dave Matthews Band. Dave Matthews described this song. For me, this song speaks about longing, the pureness, the almost unabashed, vestal...
