Friday, 4 February 2011. It was a real pleasure to attend the opening night of Falmouth College of Arts Illustration retrospective last night at the Illustration Cupboard in London's Piccadilly. The show runs from 3-12 February and contains work produced by former students (myself included), of the BA(Hons) Illustration course at the College. Samara Andrews: February 2012

Thursday, 23 February 2012. New Work for reform. Here is the new artwork I produced for Lucy Berry's column in Reform magazine. Wednesday, 15 February 2012. Wow, Time Flies. Well, it's been several months since my last post and that is because I now have a beautiful baby girl, called Ruby, who is just 4 months old and takes up a lot of her mum's time (but in a very good way.) While she is having a nap (quite rare during the day! So here are a couple of images for The Sunday Express magazine. Welcome to m...

Samara Andrews: Sunday Express
http://samara-andrews.blogspot.com/2011/08/sunday-express.html
Tuesday, 16 August 2011. Here is the latest illustration, created for the Sunday Express magazine. It accompanied a short story about a young woman who is moving out of her flat and looks through the bottom drawer of her grandmother's chest of drawers to find old slips of paper with past worries written on them. The idea is that you shut them away in a 'worry drawer' and forget about them. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Chris Andrews: November 2010
http://chrisandrewsillustration.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 10 November 2010. I've just finished working on this image of Little Moreton Hall in Cheshire which is owned by the National Trust. The late medieval courtyard manor house is one of the finest examples of timber framed architecture in England. So picturesque is the house that it has been described as “a ginger bread house lifted straight from a fairy story”. I think I'll take a break from wooden beams for a while. Tuesday, 23 November 2010. This is the illustration I did recently for a short story in The Sunday Express magazine which shows the female character having second thoughts about sharing her Raspberry Pavlova. Wednesday, 10 November 2010. I've been itching to get this new piece of work up on my blog for ages but just haven't had the chance. Finally, I can put it up today. It is the next illustration to accompany the 'Single Mum' column for Reform. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Chris Andrews: April 2011
http://chrisandrewsillustration.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Monday, 11 April 2011. Fiji Map - Jetstar Magazine. I recently did a little Map of Fiji (the main island Vitu Levu to be more precise) for Ink Publishing in Singapore, who produce Jetstar Magazine for the Australian Airline of the same name. It was a nice opportunity to work on a map illustration which I haven't done for a while, and a really enjoyable project. Sadly a free flight to Fiji to really soak up the atmosphere wasn't included with this job, but we can all dream. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Lindsey Anne Stainer: Holding the Aces
http://lindseyannestainer.blogspot.com/2010/10/holding-aces.html
Tuesday, 5 October 2010. I took these snapshots yesterday afternoon on my way to the bus stop after another super day on my Gardening course at Tyntesfield. I feel quite charmed to be in a position to visit this place every Monday and to be able experience the seasons change in such a beautiful location. Hopefully I'll remember to bring my camera each week to capture a speckle of it. 7 October 2010 at 05:24. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Tenderfoot Gifts and Crafts.
