Thanks again to he who controls the weather, Amy's train was only 20 minutes late, and it didn't snow on the way home, although it was -9, brrrrrrr. Not many sleeps now until the man in the red suit arrives. Merry Christmas to one and all. Going North: First Snow

Thursday, 25 November 2010. Late Wednesday evening saw the first snow of the winter here. Just a light dusting about 10pm when I was out with Jerry. By Thursday morning the light dusting had turned into a couple of inches. I cleared the paths around the bungalow, and by the time I had finished it was snowing again. I can see this is going to be like painting the Forth Bridge :). So an hour later it had stopped so I cleared them again. See how long that lasts, lol. 26 November 2010 at 23:29.

Wednesday, 22 December 2010. Thanks again to he who controls the weather, Amy's train was only 20 minutes late, and it didn't snow on the way home, although it was -9, brrrrrrr. Just to make Amy feel at home it had snowed by Sunday morning and the snow shovel was in gainful employment once again. Amy got stuck in to some baking and made Butterfly buns and cookies, so we won't go hungry, and on Tuesday we took her for her first trip into Kelso since she was 5 months old. Sunday, 31 October 2010. It's hard to believe that as the month ends, we have only been here for 11 days; it feels like much longer. Only 4 boxes are left unopened, and that's only because I haven't put the Mac up yet. Thursday was an excellent day. For the time of year the weather was very mild and sunny. We visited St. Abbs, excellent Scones and hot chocolate, Coldingham Bay, Eyemouth for fish and chips and finally Coldstream before home again. Sunday, 24 October 2010.
