Blogging for democracy

Tuesday, June 17, 2008. A interesting guest blog on Small Dead Animals. Looks like lance is hopefully one of many Tories now reconsidering their support for the freedom-hating Conservatives ( as NDP candidate Dana Larsen notes. The NDP is definitely the most libertarian of Canada's major parties). This is good to see. Hopefully, some of those voters will consider looking at the NDP in their ridings, who will no doubt be the party that pushes back hardest on this horrible legislation. Links to this post.

Blogging for democracy: September 2007

http://markgreenan.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html

Friday, September 28, 2007. Props to the first pro-MMP comic. Weltschmerz - see here. Posted by Mark Greenan. Links to this post. All candidates will be democratically selected - even Tory admits it. Good news for Ontario democracy this morning. Because John Tory has now basically admitted that should MMP come into effect, his party will democratically select their province wide members. Also, in the news today, the Green Party of Ontario outlined its plans. McGuinty deserves credit for starting the Citi...

Blogging for democracy: February 2008

Thursday, February 14, 2008. Going to a deserted Caribbean island for the week. I figure the revolution needs my hard currency and my system needs the Vitamin D. Will try to blog more regularly when I get back. May scrawl some good thoughts to share on this blog about North American elections while in the white sand. In the meantime, I just thought this picture. From a Hillary rally in Texas is too funny. Who wants to bet that sign was pre-made by the campaign? The #1 book I'm looking forward to reading.

Monday, March 26, 2007. Live blogging the Quebec election:. If you didn't know yet, I love elections. Find them fascinating. Want to spend my life studying them and working on them and this Quebec 2007 provincial election had been fascinating. The rise of l'Action dmocratique du Quebec (l'equipe Mario Dumont). Has blown apart the Quebec party system. Should be a great night. Dumont and the ADQ lead in seats. OK, no one saw this coming. ADQ in third, but leading in seats! The CBC panel of average voters a...

Monday, 13 April 2009. My Journey So Far. Ok Folks this is my first blog so I thought I would start by giving you a sample of my new cook book I am trying to write. Although I still need a publisher to edit and arrange it here is a little sample. Why on earth I got in to this trade is often a question I am asked. Was it because I spent summers picking berries in the fields in Scotland or shucking oysters in the south of France or vanilla picking in Madagascar on school holidays. To start my apprenticeship.
