Mount Edward - 24/2/2002. Lake Tekapo not looking quite as blue as it does in real life, and some misty peaks in the. Tekapo and some rather pleasing clouds. Some of the plains / Mountains to the south of Mt. Edward - Cor. Jo - the big wuss, had to stop for a rest halfway up. So i filled the time taking some pics. Mount Cook looming up over the other Mountains nearby, and Tekapo. Steep, loose scree, everyones favourite walking surface. The ridge we followed up all the way from the plains.

Mount Taranaki - Wednesday, May 15, 2002. This is what the world looks like from 2518m up! Not bad, eh? You can just see New Plymouth on the coastline. The summit crater, with it's year round ice field. Like a great gallah, i thought the summit was the nasty looking, steep. Pinnacle on the left. Halfway up it, slowly picking my way over the steep,. Icy rocks I noticed a big cairn and pole on the other side of the crater -. The summit - bugger. Pinnacle i started climbing. Back to Galleries Index.

Castle Hill Peak, Torlesse range - 26/1/2002. The cloud sea that was sitting over the Canterbury Plains all day, seen from Foggy peak. Two Kea - NZ's Mountain Parrot. Taking a quick break from screeching, and trying to. A lake of cloud sitting in a valley between the Craigieburn range and the Torlesse range. Mount Torlesse with clouds lapping all around it. A glimpse of heaven? No, just even more clouds. Mount Torlesse again, looking slightly more yellowy. (And with more Clouds of course).
