Here's a screencast I made to help new users that prefer to use an IM client to connect to the team's IRC channel. The sound quality isn't very good due to all the fan noise from four pc's running in "The Bat Cave". That's what we call my computer room. Removing gdm removes too much due to dependencies. Scenario: Boot Ubuntu Karmic to a console login; login; type "startx" to start the GUI environment, not necessarily Gnome. That's carpenter, not the fish. Saturday, March 3, 2012. Some Command Line Differences. In the Gnome of LinuxMint 12 (LM) the default font for Gnome Terminal is set to the system fixed width font. This displays terminal windows that are too wide to fit my screen in quarters. If I change this setting to Monospace 10 I can see all the content of four terminals at once. I haven't found a way to have windows snap to quarter screen positions. Maximize, maximize left and right do snap into position. RX bytes:2...

MommaCat is still hanging around too. That's Junior on the bottom and Slim on top. I'm wondering if these are the rare calico males.
