James T Wood: About Me
http://www.jamestwood.com/p/about-me.html
I'm a husband, writer, blogger, speaker, pastor, tech guy, foodie, nerd, football fan, and student of action/adventure. And how to make amazing bacon from scratch. My wife keeps making fun of me since my various projects have almost nothing to do with each other. I've written about marriage, bible study, PowerPoint use, the effects of the internet on society, fantasy fiction, sci-fi, comedy, action, adventure, super-cool displays, and the best barbecue meats. Are on display for you. And whatever I want.

Life As We Know It: Izzy is 6!
http://thestewarts522.blogspot.com/2015/06/izzy-is-6.html
Monday, June 8, 2015. We have had the busiest 2 months ever lately, and I ended up planning Izzy's party a bit last minute, but that didn't stop us from throwing another fun birthday party for our sweet little girl! We celebrated Izzy turning 6, Frozen style this year! And she had the best time! The kids had swim lessons in the morning, then everyone showed up for some burgers, hot dogs, (which Daddy cooked up-Yum! And a ton of some yummy food/snacks that were inspired by Frozen. Happy birthday Sweet Izz...

Life As We Know It: bye-bye Tonsils. bye-bye Strep
http://thestewarts522.blogspot.com/2015/06/bye-bye-tonsils-bye-bye-strep.html
Monday, June 29, 2015. Bye-bye Tonsils. bye-bye Strep. Thankfully, I found a wonderful family doctor, who we all see, and it has been a huge blessing. I could call her office and she would see us all in 1 visit if needed, or call in antibiotics if it was late. She knew when I called it meant the real deal and took us seriously. Spiderman wasn't interested in wearing a hospital gown. Waiting in preop was a bit tough, but we tried to keep him preoccupied. He thought the Alligator Chomping game was hilarious.

Life As We Know It: Izzy-isms
http://thestewarts522.blogspot.com/2015/07/izzy-isms.html
Monday, July 20, 2015. Most kids, including our Levi, don't just make words up if they do not know the name of something. Most kids say something like, "what's-that-called" mid-sentence. Izzy, however, being ever-confident will just improvise words and say whatever sounds like it/or whatever comes to mind. I thought she would have grown out of this quirky habit, but we continue to laugh daily about her funny vocabulary. Lately, I die every time I hear her sing the books of the B-I-B-L-E! She means: May I...

Life As We Know It: Lock Family Reunion 2015
http://thestewarts522.blogspot.com/2015/08/lock-family-reunion-2015.html
Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Lock Family Reunion 2015. This year, my Mom's side of the family, the Lock's were able to enjoy the first week of August together. Not everyone was able to make it, but we still were so happy to see many of our family that live way up North! We were able to enjoy worship at Tintern, followed by a brisk cool swim in the Welland Canal on Sunday. The timing of the excursion and the intensity of the Falls seemed to intimidate the kids, but we all had a good time, none the less!

Life As We Know It: February 2015
http://thestewarts522.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 10, 2015. As hard as it seems to believe, we now have a 3 year old big boy! Our little pre-schooler is so much fun and has a goofy, happy little personality. We celebrated his special day over the weekend. What I thought would be a small little party turned out to be 31 people in our new home! With family and friends from church, we had a good crowd to celebrate our fun little guy. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I'm thankful I met my husband early in college, married him and have had a won...

Life As We Know It: January 2015
http://thestewarts522.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 16, 2015. When you move as an adult, there is so stinkin' much to do, there is no time to be sad or throw fits (for me at least).but when your parents say it's time to move to a new house (and new state! 500 hundred miles away), AND you have no say in the matter, your world is simply turned upside down and you lose all your friends and comforts of the only home you remember. That's the way I remember it at least, and that isn't what/how I wanted my kids to remember their big move. 1 We lo...

Life As We Know It: May 2015
http://thestewarts522.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 25, 2015. 11 Years and a 1st time riding a roller coaster together! Robert and I celebrated our 11th wedding Anniversary this year! It is both strange how it seems like we've always been married, yet it has flown by at the same time. We were joking about how we hadn't rode a roller coaster since high school when it dawned on us, that was right before we started dating/got married and we'd never gone to a theme park together. My first time to any of the Disney parks, so I was pretty excited!

Saturday, September 13, 2014. Within a week of her new class, she had started role-playing teacher/class at school and the way she mimics the teacher indicates she now has a fantastic one. Hopefully the rest of the year will go smoothly and she will thrive in her new surroundings! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
