Saturday, April 3, 2010. Celebrating Khmer Tet in Kien Giang. From Nelson Family's blog:. This evening we had the most amazing Cambodian New Year celebration at the school — Chol Chnam Thmay. As we are so close to Cambodian many in the community are ethnically Khmer. The Catalyst community spent the entire day cooking for us and prepared an abundant feast. This was the second year in a row that we celebrated Khmer Tet. The community loves to say thanks with food and song - and it was fabulous! Building T...

http://oelke-vietnam-08.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 9, 2008. We Are Back Home! It was a long flight and the jet lag is awful. Check back in a few days - I intend to add more photos and some stories that I didn't have time write about while we were in Vietnam. The trip was phenomenal and there is so much still to digest! Links to this post. Brianna is definitely Vietnamese! I'm wearing a sleevless shirt and she has on a long sleeve jacket! She probably wasn't even sweating! She did finally take the jacket off after lunch! Links to this post.

2008 Vietnam Aid Expedition. Notes from the Distribution Team. Posted by Mimi, one of our fabulous teens on the team. Once the distribution was over, the whole group of 23 kids and 10 adults (including the 2 teenagers), and the tourist agency staff and translators would go back to the hotel and rest. If there was extra time after that, we would go to a park, where the kids would play soccer, blow up balloons, play Frisbee etc. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Other 2008 AE Blogs and Pictures.
