Anthropological Mum: August 2013
http://anthropologicalmum.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Friday, 16 August 2013. Nocturne: The Thames at Battersea. As Piglet is of that age when she can appreciate such things, we took her up to London for a few days, and I thought I would note here some helpful tips for others intending to head up to the big smoke. Saturday, 25 April 2015. Its about three years since I was shown the Bluebell Woods and every year at this time I think about going there. I didnt pay very close attention to how you got there so it was an adventure! You know, the sort where you go: Come on! Im sure its down this little road, and a rearguard of piglets squeals reluctantly along saying they want to go home, LOL. . Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Anthropological Mum: May 2015
http://anthropologicalmum.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, 10 May 2015. A Moment Between Life and Death. I knew this moment would come and am more surprised its taken so long than anything else. . We moved not long ago to a light airy maisonette beside a park. Our sizeable garden is bordered by trees, full of squirrels and birds. As Spring blossomed, the trees grew young leaf and the birds were busy. We have two cats. I knew one day they would bring back a bird. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A Moment Between Life and Death. Anthropological Mum: November 2013

Thursday, 14 November 2013. Of Mice and Lego. From Lego Star Wars Products. I already had a high opinion of Lego. I thought it was a good toy for teaching prospective architects and engineers anyway, and then they brought out the Star Wars sets. . Friday, 8 November 2013. Working Mums (and a Dad). Anthropological Mum: Forest Farm
http://anthropologicalmum.blogspot.com/2015/02/forest-farm.html
Thursday, 12 February 2015. It was a day like Spring, a perfect day for a cycle ride. I said to my trusty companion: "Let's go out on the bikes." Piglet of course said: "No, no-o-o-o! I had exercise today, I don't wanna go out, wah wah." I was obdurate so we set off in the wash of pale cold sunshine. Forest Farm is just by the Taff Trail. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Anthropological Mum: Barbie ... Makes a Mistake
http://anthropologicalmum.blogspot.com/2015/02/barbie-makes-mistake.html
Tuesday, 17 February 2015. Barbie . Makes a Mistake. There is a lot of swearing in this blogpost. Which is a fairly critical review of the story of how Barbie gets into computing, LOL. I laughed so hard reading this poor mum's vitriolic comments on Barbie having to get Steve and Brian to help her when her computer goes wrong, and how she has a pink heart-shaped memory stick which she keeps handily on her necklace, that Piglet came running downstairs . from tidying up her Barbies! To see what was going on.

Anthropological Mum: October 2013
http://anthropologicalmum.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, 31 October 2013. Luckily Piglet is a keen baker. We have been catching up on The Great British Bakeoff on i-player and enjoying watching the beautiful concoctions the competitors come up with. I thought of this scheme which would occupy two days of the holiday in a useful and nourishing fashion:. Bake cakes. . Invite other little piglets round to eat them. . Sunday, 27 October 2013. Mummy in the Museum (ho ho) - Excursion. What better time to go than in the lead up to Halloween! I have sadly re...

Anthropological Mum: Piglet on Wheels
http://anthropologicalmum.blogspot.com/2015/02/piglet-on-wheels.html
Friday, 27 February 2015. Available from Bikes 2U Direct. We bought Piglet's first bike online;. Subsequent ones from a good local. Family shop ( Damian Harris Cycles. When I first tried to take the trainer wheels off, I started with just one. I read somewhere that if you take one wheel off, your piglet gets some sense of balance then you take the other off and they are away. Grass and mud and howls of outrage. The trainer wheels went back on and we trundled very slowly to and from school in this way occ...
