Well start in Lan Kwai Fong. The suits should be heading out or chilling out by now, and party people should be arriving to claim the night. Not that prices elsewhere are always so wonderful Hong Kong by night is expensive. I reckon the best plan for nocturnal roaming is to make the most of happy hours and any other offers.

Hiking in Hong Kong. The hills just north of Kowloon (eight of the nine dragons - the gau lung) also boast good trails, with views of country and city. Lion Rock has a fairly tough final ascent, but is spectacular when you're on top. I appreciate this information is extremely brief, but hope it may be useful to you. I'd also recommend buying maps in the Countryside Series, which are available from some HK bookshops, and the Government Publications Centre in Admiralty.

Lantau abounds with temples, one bustling, others tranquil. There are winding coastal paths and tough mountain trails. Waterfalls tumble through secluded ravines.
