As a young child, I was rather put out been a girl. I worked outdoors, feeding cattle, driving tractors, welding. And revelling in the wearing of old clothes. I made myself pretty scarce when indoor work needed doing. Other than a short excursion into nursing. I remained outdoors as a boat builder/furniture maker in southern England.
