Cromwell Critter Cam: Confirmation
http://cromwellcrittercam.blogspot.com/2016/11/confirmation.html
Sunday, November 13, 2016. The beaver (or beavers? Is active in Minebank Run. It's hard to see in these photographs, but the dam is slightly larger. Perhaps you can see that it extends a little more on the right side of the photograph? I've also captured two photographs and a video. And I captured this photograph too. It sure looks to me like the fox is marking his territory on the tree the beaver cut down. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Cromwell Valley Park Council on Facebok.

Cromwell Critter Cam: September 2016
http://cromwellcrittercam.blogspot.com/2016_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 18, 2016. I've never captured two before, in one picture. But I did this time. Two red foxes. I don't know what they are doing. They don't seem to be fighting, and their breeding season is in the middle of the winter. This is the time of year when the families split up and the young have to go out and find a territory of their own, so that could explain the pictures. Or perhaps it's just an odd coincidence. It's hawk migration season. Cromwell is a great place to watch.

Cromwell Critter Cam: January 2016
http://cromwellcrittercam.blogspot.com/2016_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 17, 2016. Let's start off the new year with a mystery. and some statistics. As you may know, the coyote population in Maryland is well established and is growing. Coyote have been found in every county in the state, and have been seen in Cromwell Valley Park. Indeed, I captured one on camera last April. Since then, I've tried to capture another image of a coyote in the park. So, here's the mystery. Did I, or did I not capture a coyote in this video? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Cromwell Critter Cam: March 2016
http://cromwellcrittercam.blogspot.com/2016_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 21, 2016. Lots of critters, including Wile E. Coyote. and two deer that haven't yet dropped their antlers. Spring is in the air. I had a chance to check the camera recently and found the usual assortment of animals in the park. I also captured a coyote. This is, if memory serves, only the third time I've done that. So far, only one at a time. I've not captured any evidence of them travelling in a pack. I also note that they seem to be out only at night, unlike the red fox.

Cromwell Critter Cam: October 2015
http://cromwellcrittercam.blogspot.com/2015_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 3, 2015. No coyote, more fox. You may recall that I captured a coyote along Minebank Run a few months ago. I keep hoping I may find it again, but no luck,. There sure are fox out though. This video is interesting because you can see the IR flash of a camera taking still photographs of the deer as it passes by. Don't forget to go outside and play. Cromwell Critter Cam: Coyote
http://cromwellcrittercam.blogspot.com/2016/11/coyote.html
Saturday, November 26, 2016. I did, though capture a coyote. This is the second time I've done that. I was struck by the fact that it was in the same place that I have photographed a fox. As I understand, the coyotes will become the alpha predator in the area, and will drive down the fox population. We'll see. Meanwhile the residents are having fun in the park. Hope you are too. November 29, 2016 at 5:18 PM. December 31, 2016 at 5:54 PM. Saw the coyote tracks on the Minebank Run trail today. Very cool.
