As seen through my lens. Monday, August 09, 2010. Gray Skies are Underrated. Carolina Blue skies every day for weeks and weeks. Sunny days are healthy. I love them and thrive on sunshine and warmth and dream about summer days from New Year’s Day until the first pale green sprouts late February. Then, there's a waiting period until the end of March when trees show their life and flowers appear. August arrives and I realize you can definitely have too much of a good thing and sunny skies become overrated.

And today, I could publish an album of my best Great Blue Heron photographs. I’ve recently had a change of heart. 8220;Get your fat bird ass out of here and break a leg, will ya? A few bison trudge along near Gros Ventre. I love the way the bison stick their tongues out as they grunt and groan at each other. Oodles of bison in the Lamar Valley.
