Nystrup Gravel: May 2015
http://nystrupgravel.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
A Small Danish Industrial Railway in 1:35. Sunday, 24 May 2015. With cork underlay glued in place only too little spare time and a lack of rail spikes have prevented me from getting some track down on my new module. This week saw the post man deliver a little pack with rail spikes from KBscale. And with some time to spare this weekend, I got half the track down in no time. Nystrup Gravel is now a little longer! Sunday, May 24, 2015. Sunday, 17 May 2015. I'm still working on the cab. On the outside th...

Nystrup Gravel: December 2014
http://nystrupgravel.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
A Small Danish Industrial Railway in 1:35. Monday, 29 December 2014. The past year brought me much enjoyment with Nystrup Gravel. My little piece of 1950's rural Denmark received new road vehicles (amongst others a Fordson 7V. A Simca and a little scooter) built or rebuilt from kits of various quality. One of the more unusual was my Ford delivery van. Built from a very nice German brass kit. I hope to be able to tackle both wagons and loco as well as a little research in the coming year. I have written a...

Nystrup Gravel: November 2014
http://nystrupgravel.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
A Small Danish Industrial Railway in 1:35. Friday, 21 November 2014. Nystrup Gravel is Moving. Some of my unbuilt kits packed for moving. The boxes with my 13'eme Dragon kits of Pechot wagons seems rather dusty. The conclusion must be that whenever you think you can help a fellow enthusist just ask. It helps keeping more people attached to the hobby. Notice the variety among the skips - not least in colour. Friday, November 21, 2014. Labels: Nystrup Gravel history. Monday, 17 November 2014. Despite the d...

Nystrup Gravel: Bedford and Trailer
http://nystrupgravel.blogspot.com/2015/07/bedford-and-trailer.html
A Small Danish Industrial Railway in 1:35. Tuesday, 21 July 2015. Bedford chassis fitted with wheels. Despite lack of decent location points I managed to get all four wheels touching the ground without trouble. The single axle trailer ready for wheels. Not too many parts for this item that is made up from primarily one huge casting. Wheels fitted to the trailer and cab interior primed. I couldn't resist placing one of my 1:35 locomotives on the trailer. It gives new motivation to carry on building! I mod...

Nystrup Gravel: Experience Skip Trains on HVB August 30.
http://nystrupgravel.blogspot.com/2015/08/experience-skip-trains-on-hvb-august-30.html
A Small Danish Industrial Railway in 1:35. Sunday, 16 August 2015. Experience Skip Trains on HVB August 30. HVB M 12 with a train of skips. Some of them spilling a little of their content as they bump their way through the point. The skips are from Oldebjerg brick works (not that far from Nystrup, by the way! Nystrup Gravel no. 8 with empty skips crossing the stream. These 1:35 scale skips are from Hesketh and Snoodyk. Sunday, August 16, 2015. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I model the company’...

Nystrup Gravel: October 2014
http://nystrupgravel.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
A Small Danish Industrial Railway in 1:35. Thursday, 30 October 2014. Skips are what makes the little railway at Nystrup Gravel earn its living. After having ordered a batch in the beginning of the year. The railway has now taken delivery of 9 new skips - one of them with brakes. The skips are built from the Hesketh and Snoodyk 1:35 scale etched brass kit launched last year and produced from drawings of a German Dolberg skip. Nystrup Gravel's newest item - a 1:35 Dolberg skip from Hesketh and Snoodyk.

Nystrup Gravel: August 2015
http://nystrupgravel.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
A Small Danish Industrial Railway in 1:35. Monday, 31 August 2015. Screaming wheels and clanking coupling chains. Sunday August 30. trains of skips were added to the running of the two usual passenger trains on Hedelands Veteranbane (HVB). Beside the 16 regular departures of passenger trains a short train of five skips made several trips to Rubjerg station. Once again the old gravel pits around Hedehusene filled with the sounds of skips being propelled over narrow gauge tracks. Monday, August 31, 2015.

Nystrup Gravel: Harvest Time Approaching
http://nystrupgravel.blogspot.com/2015/08/harvest-time-approaching.html
A Small Danish Industrial Railway in 1:35. Thursday, 13 August 2015. In the fields around Nystrup the small farmers are busy harvesting their fields. The most progressive ones have equipped themselves with a combine harvester from German manufacturer Claas. Cloud cover is low and rain will soon put an end to harvesting. Here is my home made broom. Three pieces of plastic, a little glue and some paint. Thursday, August 13, 2015. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Experience Skip Trains on HVB August 30.

Nystrup Gravel: January 2015
http://nystrupgravel.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
A Small Danish Industrial Railway in 1:35. Wednesday, 28 January 2015. Traction Avant with Gas Generator. I modelled occasionally on the dinner table over the Christmas holidays. The Citroën is now almost fully assembled and painting is under way. The resin parts for the gas generator, scrubber and pipes. Appropriate for the Christmas season the parts were photographed on a red napkin (unused). I had bought a set of etched brass from Aber (set PE 35231) to refine the model, but I will use very little fro...
