Musings from a Happy Housewife: March 2014
http://joyful-home.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Musings from a Happy Housewife. Monday, March 24, 2014. A Lesson in Sourdough. Here's a helpful post on the making of bread, specifically whole wheat sourdough bread. Perhaps one day I'll add pictures of each step, but for the moment, my words will have to suffice! Bread making is an art, but it's an art that, I believe, all can learn and develop in technique. All artists start somewhere! Feed your leftover starter (from *to* above) and set aside.* *Add 3/4 cups room temperature water to your large m...

Sunday, June 14, 2009. Kiley, Lexi and Ashley playing in the water. Leah having fun flipping off the dock. Last year the water wasn't deep enough for jumping off the dock. Thank you God for the rain! It took a bit for Leah to warm up to the daring flip off the dock, but once she started she didn't stop. We saw this particular trick over and over. "Mama, watch this! Hayden and Leah relaxing. Molly (I mean Leah) :) and Lexi (Lexi calls Molly and Leah "Molly"). Leah, Lexi, Molly and Hayden on the paddle boat.

Thursday, July 7, 2011. Day 2 Leah's Perspective. What a day of tired Kerce's! I hope we will all get a good night sleep:) we drove all day to find that four corners closes at 8:00. We got there around 8:50. So instead of moping around we goofed off taking pictures in front of the colorodo sign. Musings from a Happy Housewife: February 2012
http://joyful-home.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Musings from a Happy Housewife. Monday, February 6, 2012. I can not believe Jeremiah is nearly 4 weeks old already! He is definitely growing and becoming more alert these days. He's a "hold me" baby, which can make life more.interesting at times! But, he's sweet and I must remind myself to cherish each sweet moment I have to cuddle him. They grow so fast and some mommies do not have the privilege. I can hardly keep their little hands and lips off of him! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Musings from a Happy Housewife: September 2012
http://joyful-home.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Musings from a Happy Housewife. Thursday, September 6, 2012. Fall is in the air, though it doesn't feel like it much in Florida. The mornings and evening are. And, if you enjoy Starbuck's Pumpkin Latte, you might just find you like this homemade version even better. It must be healthier for you! This recipe uses a pumpkin-spice milk blended with strong coffee. Here it goes. Strong coffee- (I love using my aeropress to make a strong shot of coffee. Never heard of an aeropress? 1 cup of milk. Froth using a...

Musings from a Happy Housewife: October 2013
http://joyful-home.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Musings from a Happy Housewife. Thursday, October 10, 2013. Mmmthe smell drifting from my kitchen is making my mouth water and my tummy rumble. A pot of Mom Petz' Goulash is simmering on the stove, promising a very yummy dinner once Daddy returns home from work. "Goulash" is a term used in very different ways, referring to very different dishes. My own parents are divided over what "goulash" is supposed to be! 1lb hamburger, browned. Add the flour and seasoning to the hamburger and stir. Add:. My purpose...

The Kerce Family: May 2009
http://kercefamily.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 20, 2009. Ashlyn turned 16 yesterday. It's hard to believe that our oldest baby has reached this major milestone. I keep reminding myself that we aren't the first parents to have a child turn 16 and get their driver's license, but it sure is hard to let go and watch her drive off without an adult. My view from the BACK seat. The proud 16 year old with her license. Ashlyn and Brooklyn headed back to school. Posted by The Kerce Family. Tuesday, May 12, 2009. Kerce Family Fun Day. We got to t...

The Kerce Family: Day 5 - July 9, 2011
http://kercefamily.blogspot.com/2011/07/day-5-july-9-2011.html
Monday, July 11, 2011. Day 5 - July 9, 2011. We left Las Vegas and headed toward California this morning. Al said we should make sure to fill up the gas tank, because it would be more expensive in California. Here's the sign where we stopped to fill up. We made it to California! Though we were disappointed with the sign on this road). We went through Death Valley on the way to Yosemite. As we were going through Death Valley, it was hard to stop to look at the scenery. 113* and it was SO HOT! I talked to ...

Wednesday, September 30, 2009. Our fall has gotten off to a busy start with cheering, cheering, and more cheering. Ashlyn. Has been cheering the Wildcats on to victory on Friday nights. They are 3-1, with no game this week. This is the theme for the Wildcat football team this year, and a few shots from the first pep rally during school. Ashlyn's. The guys love painting their chest each year in Wildcat colors. The sign the team runs through each week. This is her telling Taytum. The infamous heel stretch.

The Kerce Family: August 2009
http://kercefamily.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 25, 2009. Our first day back to school was pretty uneventful, and I didn't get much feedback when I asked how the first day was, other than the standard, "Fine". Ashlyn is a junior and driving to school, with the stress of finding a parking spot in the area she wants to park. Molly is in 7th grade and has been helpful in reminding me the things I need to do to cause her as little stress as possible, like turning in her shot records that I forgot to take to open house. The girls on the lif...
