Welcome To The High Rate Deformation Group

High Rate Deformation Group. The goal of the High Rate Deformation Group is to develop models capable of predicting the mechanical response of a material under extreme conditions. To model material behavior effectively requires knowledge of the fundamental deformation processes and their relationship to bulk properties. This necessitates an interdisciplinary approach to reveal the mechanisms at different length and time scales and allow their incorporation within plasticity codes.
