Wednesday, October 8, 2008. Video games and other crap. How far should educators go in matching the technology used in instruction and classroom activities to the technology their students use? That varies, the technology their students are using are already known to the instructor. so they dont need to go very far if they should go anywhere at all. Are online chats and instant messaging of value in the classroom? Do they add to student learning, or do they distract from “real” instruction? I do belive v...

Wednesday, September 10, 2008. Over all i liked the basic layout of the program. it seems simple and easy to understand for all ages. i would use it in my classroom as a jumpstart for more challenging programs. I think an activity on history or science would be best. the program has many librarys available for students to do their assignments. i could get students to help eachother by putting them in groups. peer support seems to be pretty easy on this program. Wednesday, September 17, 2008. After using Spreadsheet creating a gradebook and a material aid, what do you think about Spreadsheet? Would you use it in your classroom? It would be very useful to in the classroom. the grading and attendance process would be much easier. As a teacher, why do we use Spreadsheet? What is the advantage of a Spreadsheet over a calculator? According to the textbook, it mentions the three primary functions of Spreadsheets. What do you think about them? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Wednesday, September 24, 2008. What do think about Wikis? Would you be able to use it in your own classroom? I think wikis are a simple way to communicate with your students. I would use it in my classroom to give out general information. Do you believe that learning by conversing in learning communities can be more effective than traditional instruction? What evidence would we need to confirm (or reject) that belief? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). How To Enter A Post to Google Blog.

Wednesday, September 10, 2008. I really enjoyed looking over the Inspiration website in class. When I got home I spent some more time navigating the website. I found that it is just as beneficial to the teacher as it is to the student. After a little snooping, I discovered it has the current TEKS. For your state on-site and some of the latest research published. It provided great tools for the teachers to make sure her/his lesson plans follow the required TEKS. Wednesday, September 3, 2008. Thursday, October 30, 2008. Please tell me how thing went and how you felt about the activities. Please feel free to give suggestions. I think it was a great idea to have us make a resume and an "im a great teacher" handout. i think it allows the student to reflect on the positive aspects of their being rather than stress over the bad stuff. How did you feel about creating a brochure this week? I had fun with it. it was like i was complimenting myself for a grade. No, i dont believe so. As music goes- ex...
