Ghana – Must Go!! | Matthew's Nigeria Weblog
https://mattinnigeria.wordpress.com/ghana-must-go
Matthew’s Nigeria Weblog. Matthew’s Life in Jos, Nigeria. Ghana – Must Go! The trip of a lifetime? 8211; or a trip that felt like it took a lifetime. Friday 26th December (Boxing Day) 2008. Now the saga begins! The following account takes me quite a while – You have been warned! But this is Africa, This is Nigeria – travel is never simple! So after the coach was unloaded we then loaded onto the bus and at about 11.30 we left Jos to start our journey. Saturday 27th December 2008. But you saw the luggage w...
Current Prayer Needs | Matthew's Nigeria Weblog

Matthew’s Nigeria Weblog. Matthew’s Life in Jos, Nigeria. Give thanks for…. The higher profile that physiotherapy has in the hospital. The reduction in tension and violence in Jos. The amazing medical outreach to Katsina and Kano. Me not to be frustrated as work at the hospital is not going as I had hoped. Me to be encouraged and to know the work that God would have me do. Lasting peace to return to Jos and Plateau State. The pastors and churches that suffer oppression and opposition in parts of Nigeria.

Matthew’s Nigeria Weblog. Matthew’s Life in Jos, Nigeria. Archive for July, 2010. 102 weeks gone, 2 to go! July 21, 2010. It was 100 weeks ago that I wrote a blog with these numbers the other way round. It definitely doesn’t feel like it has been 700 days since then but time has flown here and I can only just believe that I am almost into my last week in Nigeria. As such, I felt I should try and write one more blog to tell you about what I have done since I last wrote. Titus in his suit. After resting fo...

Matthew’s Nigeria Weblog. Matthew’s Life in Jos, Nigeria. Now that’s what I call REAL missionary work. Day 1 – Wednesday 29. Day Two Thursday 30. I didn’t actually feel too hungry and as I could not see how the things were being cooked I decided that rather than risking sickness from dodgy food I would retire to my bed (or sleeping mat anyway). I once again shared a hut with 3 other people and again didn’t have any problems getting to sleep after a tiring day. Day Three Friday 1. Day Four Saturday 2.

Matthew’s Nigeria Weblog. Matthew’s Life in Jos, Nigeria. Archive for September, 2010. September 14, 2010. I didn’t want to update my blog again but after a few people have let me know about a scam I felt I should put a notice on here. Apparently someone is using this blog in a scam about renting a flat in New York. THIS IS A SCAM! So please ignore the email you may have received about a flat for rent in New York – IT IS A SCAM! Thanks to those who let me know. A slightly different view! September 1, 2010.

we are broken: November 2009
http://trevor-malda.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Monday, 30 November 2009. I've currently got 21 days left in Nigeria before I make the 2-day trek back to Canada! Speaking of 2-day treks, I'm on one tomorrow with Niger State as my end point. I'll be travelling up with Jeremiah, who works with Water Wins, an organization that drills bore holes farther North where clean water is quite scarce and the terrain is too rocky for wells. I hope to be able to witness some of the work they're doing there and share it with you all! It's been a great time. I re...

Matt In Morocco
The views expressed in this blog are my own and do not necessarily represent the views of the Peace Corps or the United States government. Thursday, April 28, 2011. It's Been a While. Well it has been a while hasn't it. There is a slight reason for this.We are back in America for now. A few months back (close to beginning of February) we discovered that we were going to have a baby! Yes Tanie is pregnant! Saturday, January 8, 2011. Is It Hard To Get Into The Peace Corps? Last post I spoke about how with ...

X Flying Pig x Superior Hiking Trail x Stone Steps 50k. Sunday, June 10, 2012. I've taken it pretty easy for the past week (aside from getting my butt kicked at my new job which requires a bit more manual labor than I'm accustomed to! But now it's time to dust off the running shoes and get back on the trail. The Stone Steps 50k is only 5 months away, so I need to get into gear. Look for some occasional posts as my training progresses. Matt and Heidi Hudson-Flege. Wednesday, May 30, 2012. End of the Line.

Science and Reason FTW
Science and Reason FTW. Friday, May 24, 2013. Safety versus the illusion of safety. In 1755 Benjamin Franklin penned the now well-known quote (which is strangely, often misquoted): “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety [capitalization of Liberty and Safety seen in context]”. On the TSA’s blog that features the very question being posed here, which is, what happens if I fail? You’ll notice that throughout the entire post...
Matt in New Zealand
Matt in New Zealand. Photos from my year in New Zealand. Tuesday, March 28, 2006. Back To The States. Well the fun had to come to a close sooner or later. I recently returned to the United States after 10 months of life in New Zealand. I don't wanna write some sob story of how much I'll miss it, just want everyone out there to know I had a great time and loved visiting. This is a photo of me setting foot outside the airport terminal in Green Bay Wisconsin. A happy return.Home sweet home. Fed a wild parrot.
