Wednesday, February 6, 2008. Spanish lessons on a volcanic lake. I´ve been in San Pedro for the last week, a beautiful town on a volcanic lake in Guatemala where Kate and I spent new years. The first few days were tough, I found myself getting way more attention from men, especially older men then I wanted and was wondering how great being a single female traveler was! Wednesday, October 15, 2008. I now actually enjoy drawing blood and am comfortable giving breast exams. We are also able to do pap smears and physical exams. It seems that whenever I begin to find my footing in the clinic another skill is added on. It certainly keeps me on my toes and straining my eyes forward to whatever comes next. Thursday, January 15, 2009. I'm now in my second quarter. On March 1st a new group of students will arrive and shortly after that we will write our 2nd quarter exam and become interns. We then will be in the teaching role and be taking on more responsibilitys. I'm really excited for this new challenge and look forward to sharing and consolidating my knowledge with the new students. It is nice to hear an update. Keep moving through things and being in the moment. January 25, 2009 at 9:15 PM.
