Reading at a 78th Grade Level. Where I write about books. 8220;What this Cruel War was Over: Soldiers, Slavery, and the Civil War” by Chandra Manning. Maybe he is right. I don’t think so, and Chandra Manning certainly doesn’t, but every historiographic period thinks that their interpretation is finally the correct one, so who I am to say it’s not going to change in the next 20 years.
