Today with the McCrays. Monday, June 28, 2010. Inspired by an episode of Phineas and Ferb, the girls asked if they could have "Swinter" in the back yard. Our version was a much lower scale than Phineas and Ferb, but no one can top those guys! We just shaved some ice with our snow cone maker into a large bowl and headed to the back yard. At first, the girls didn't think they needed gloves, since it was 95 degrees outside, but they quickly figured out that ice is cold, even if it's hot outside!

Today with the McCrays. Tuesday, May 19, 2009. We have a big milestone, here! We took the training wheels off of Taite's bike this weekend. She tried her first time Sat. night and we never really let go of her. Sun. afternoon, Lewis was going with her, let go and she went! We're still working on stopping! That may be harder than riding. Lewis and I had to take turns. Obviously, we're out of shape. I think we may try "relay" bike riding in our future attempts! I think she can do it! Posted by The McCrays.

That darn "safety feature" has kept me from uploading pictures for the last several months. This kind of blog is pretty boring without pictures! She didn't get any hits this time, but did get a piece of one pitch. The regular season starts in 2 weeks. What fun! Check out the face masks they have to wear now when they're batting!

Thursday, September 23, 2010. Artist in the making. We had some lovely "Welcome Home Oliver" posters hanging up in our bedroom when we came home. They were so sweet and so lovingly made by Luke, Sophie, and Oma. This picture makes me laugh. Definitely the best. It looks like a cross between a bear, a baby that is swaddled, a tadpole, and a .sperm! Just a little something to lighten the mood! Oh, I bet you can't guess who did this? Monday, November 22, 2010. I love that I get to do things like this. This was one of my favorite books in elementary school. I ready it every year- -at least once. I had forgotten all about it until I saw it in Sophie's scholastic book order flier this month. I ordered it (OF COURSE! And couldn't wait to read it to her. Last night we were FINALLY able to curl up (Ollie in between us) and start the book. I admit- -I got too sleepy to finish last night, but we finished today and she loved it!
